I'm not watching, but I presume Prospal was working the half boards. He's assist-money from there pretty often.

That's high-larious!!! Thanks. We get so few laughs around here unless you confuse hysterical weeping for laughter.

Not a bad period. Wish I could stay up and watch the rest of the game, but I feel like crap and need some sleep.

He sure does - gets knocked off the puck pretty easily. Still, the kid's going to be good. He positions himself well on the ice and always seems to be in the play. Hoping he turns into a Steve Sullivan type player.

Atkinson just said he didn't have the legs to complete that breakaway.

I know he's been in the AHL all season, but this organization from minor leagues to the NHL level needs to take a serious look at physical fitness and conditioning. There's no excuse for a professional hockey player to be that gassed in the 1st period.

Blame elevation, blame the full moon, but it's been a problem for this organization for since inception. You simply don't see the elite teams struggling with this.

I take that to mean he was near or at the end of his shift. You're point is valid though.

Here's what I got out of Billy's breakdown of the first period:

Now stop it here.
Stop it now.
Go ahead and let it roll.
Stop it now!
Now... stop it here.
Stop it now.
Go ahead and let it roll.
Let the puck do the work.

After segment Billy says to Rimer, What the hell are those guys doing in the truck, when I say stop it here boys, I mean stop it here. If I had their money I'd burn mine.

Atkinson lost his helper on the PPG. Tyutin gets it now.

Atkinson was caught by a guy skating backwards! Agree that conditioning is one of many things for the Jackets to work on.

Watching Avs feed
Mackenzie being interviewed. Asked how does the team play out the string?

He said "We get together in the room. Set some goals as to what we want to do. IT STARTS TONIGHT."

Would have been a good idea 60-some games ago?

What is going on with Umby - the guy is such a non-factor. Got that nice contract and he's become a non-entity. Not sure if it's for a lack of effort.
