I wish I could watch the game.

Drabek pitched a scoreless inning in the second BTW. First runner reached on an error and then walked a guy on 4 pitches but got a DP and a strikeout instead of blowing up.

We haven't seen much of him. If I remember, he threw in the low 90's touching 95 or so can throw regularly or from the side arm which is pretty attractive. He could make a solid career owning righties with his ability to be a side arm thrower.

Good to see Thames get a homerun. It's going to be a see-saw battle for the LF between the two.

I know you're a big Snider fan but I think unless Thames absolutely stinks in spring training he will win the job. I know its just the first game but it is kind of telling that today is basically the exact lineup we will prolly start with come opening day. It seems like management is higher on Thames then they are Snider.

Evan Crawford seems to have some buzz around him this ST. Might be an interesting player to keep an eye on.

I am fine with either. I know a lot of Jays fans hate Thames because he couldn't get on base much and can't play any defense and believe he is nothing more than a 4th outfielder thanks to the comments of Keith Law but I think he could be good enough to play regularly but I still think the team should go with Snider. Snider in 2010 was just as good, if not better than Thames and he did it while being 2 years younger.

I just think there is a lot more upside with Snider and Jays should give him a long look than the couple of months they give Snider. Snider has a better all-around game too and it would just be a big mistake to not give Snider a long look to see if he can succeed. If he was in another organization, it's the type of player AA would be targeting and trying to buy low.

But right now, Thames probably does have the inside track but I firmly believe that if Snider outplays Thames in spring training even by a small margin, he gets it IMO.
