That's farfectched jp.

If he ever reaches that level it will be because his developmental curve will have changed drastically.

One thing is sure though, he's gonna play in the NHL.

Not sure about being another Hamrlik. Don't forget Hammer was an offensive beast in his youth and could do a little of everything as he matured.

But a bigger Josh Gorges with a little offense? Yes please.

That is turning into a real good draft year compared to what few picks we had. Tinordi, Ellis, Gallagher are projected future NHLers and we didn't draft until 27th and not again until 4th round

Timmins never stop to impress me!
in 2010, we had only 5 picks, up till now and if everything goes right the 3 players you mentioned are projected to be decent nhlers with some good potential. And they all have one thing in common. Leadership, I can picture them with letters on their habs jersey in 5-10years
I would call it the 2010 draft: leadership draft by timmins

Makes one think what could be now if we didn't trade our picks so foolishly. Or better had acquired a few more? If I rememeber right the 2010 picks went in the Schneider trade. Our '09 2nd went in the Tanguay trade as did our '08 1st. Our '07 pick, McDonogh went in the Gomez trade. None of those 4 players did much in Montreal, Schneider only one did anything but he left after 25 games

That is a great pick at 4th round. Would probably go in the 2nd if the draft were to be done again.

MacMillan has lots of potential too if he can put some size on, definitely has the skill.

Ellis has been very impressive this season. He's really changed his game from being 100% stay at home D-Man to a guy that is putting up average numbers, while still being great in his own zone. I've never noticed him being overly physical, but that doesn't mean he isn't, It's just never been something that's stuck out in the games I've seen him play. Oh, and he was captain of his junior team in Cape Breton

What's good is that he was able to adjust his game. That's what is so many prospects downfall. They played one style most of their lives and are unable to adjust and thus don't make it to the Pro's. Morgan has shown that ability to change his game. Hopefully he can keep Developing.

His numbers are definitely impressive this year, 25 pts in 34 games and only a -3 with one of the worst teams in the Q this season. Since then with Shawinigan, one of the best, he's been just above a ppg and is a +21.

If I'm understand correctly, Gallagher, Tinordi, Bournival, are all signed now along with Ellis, and we just have to sign Kristo and Beaulieu (who should make the early jump to the AHL because of an early birthday right?) this summer.

This guy is gonna be real solid for us in a couple years! With the offensive ability of Subban/Markov/Beaulieu and potentially some Offensive upside from Emelin, I think in 2 years or less there is no reason to keep Diaz/Weber, but that depends on how Ellis and tinordi Develop? Either way can't see them being with us even next year?

Seeing him often in the LHJMQ i can assure you guys he is going to be good in the NHL. He is quite the complete package. Holy crap we drafted a good defenceman. When he is on the ice, you know your team wont get scored.

They still have to sign Patrick Holland, Greg Pateryn, Scott Kishel and John Westin or they lose their rights.

Real good kid from a good family. Wish him nothing but the best on his journey to becoming an NHL defenseman. Good luck buddy!

To keep within the familiar confines of our Habs, I'll say again that he's a mix of everything that's to like about Gorges and Diaz (or even Weber... Ellis' shot is under-rated, imo), but in the same player. Basically, the "solid other guy on a second pairing who makes less money because there's nothing really flashy about his game" guy.

Bennett is one of those long term project players. He has tremendous skating and offensive instincts. His defensive game has improved this year, but he still has problems on the physical side of the game. His game will benefit a lot from AHL seasoning. But perhaps he could be a John-Michael Liles type of player in the future (not sure if good comparison, but montreal could clarify).
