Rangers @ Canes

Too lazy to make a poll right now.

Nice win.

Give the hat to Biron. We scored twice right after he made a big save.

Happy we won, but we gotta start beating these bottom teams with authority.

Prust, Gaborik, and McDonagh are my three stars. HM to Stepan, Boyle, Anisimov, and Biron. Hope DZ is okay.

I thought Prust, Staal, Anisimov and McDonagh had fantastic games. And Stralman for knocking Skinner on his midget ass.

Fun game. Some lapses of judgement and so on but overall played well.

Gabby
Stepan

Prust, Boyle, Biron, Bickel with good games.

Torts has balls benching Dubi thru the double minor PK.

G: Rangers fans in the crowd, Marty was fine and got the win he needed, Prust!
B: Power play, Dubinsky
R: late goal

I'll take the win, but I'm still starving for a blowout.

Don't agree with Torts benching Dubinsky for the remainder of the game after the penalty... You want to send a message? Fine, bench him for the entire 2nd period, but don't not allow the player to redeem himself out on the ice.

I expected a loss, very happy to see the W. Tomorrow against Tampa is a must win. Not because of the points but they need to show they are Number 1 for a reason and simply crush the bottom feeders. It's never easy as it sounds but they need to spread in a blowout here and there.

Todays game. Gaborik was great and Biron had a phenomenal game and kept us in it. That being said, I'm gonna quote what I said in the GDT and stand by it.

Quote:
And this is why Biron is a backup. Throughout this whole sequence behind the net I kept my eye on him. He had one elbow on the crossbar looking like he stood at the bar waiting for a drink. Only after the puck came back out front did he go down into the butterfly. He was not ready at any point in time during this goal. Watch Lundqvist when the puck is behind the net, he is always focused and ready to stop the puck, Biron instead just wasn't there anymore.

He played a great game today but those lapses in concentration need to stop.
These kind of things can cost you in the long run.

what is going on with the documentary style post game Gianone tonight?

For me the best players tonight were: Biron, Boyle, and McDonagh

PoTG: Prust and Boyle. Prusts' final shift was epic.
The Good: Biron, AA, McD, Gabs, Step, Staal, and Lawman Stralman knocking down Skinner.
The Bad: Tort's completely doghousing Dubinksy. Dubi's dumb penalty. Richards absent-mindedly watching Biron get mugged for that second goal.
The Redden: MDZ's injury.

Biron with 2 great saves down 1-0, and the Rangers went down and scored, game changer!
