Vanek was bad. Bad bad bad, looks lazy and slow. Making the same predictable play over and over again.

Yeah, that was the only line that could sustain any zone time. They really need VRP to step up, though it was nice to get 5 of 6 pts from the Rags, Ducks, and Sharks with pretty much zero contribution from Vanek-Poms. Also, it'd be fine if someone other than Drew Stafford would like to score an ES goal on this road trip--Boyes got one, but it was still 5-on-4 in the zone as Anaheim's penalty had just expired.

VRP has looked awful.

Vanek has become so frustrating to watch in the past two months.

Vanek has Been MIA for a while now. 3 goals in his last 21 games. It's probably Roy's fault though.

Ha just found out that Cody Hodgson went to highschool across the street from where I live. We have some mutual friends. Getting his jersey ASAP and getting 'er signed!

Markham/Unionville, Ontario is a suburb of Toronto (approx. population of 300,000) and is a serious breeding ground for NHL talent. Off the top of my head: Raffi Torres, Steven Stamkos, Cody Hodgson, Jeff Skinner, Stephen Weiss...unreal.

The Ennis/Hodgson/Stafford line give us something we haven't had in quite awhile. A scoring line with speed. They attack with such good pace and its fun to watch.

Totally agree. Ennis is the speed/Hodgson is the playmaker/Stafford is the sniper (when he is on at least) Just wish we could get our number one line going now. Vanek as already mentioned has been MIA as of late as with Pommers. They were tearing it up earlier this year with Adam at center. We need a playmaking number one center still. Just wish we could draft Grigs or Galc this year to fill that spot!

Vanek has had shoulder problems all this time, but has been suffering through it. Some credit where its due.

The shoulder issues were an issue a couple of months ago.

I'm not going to give a guy credit for playing through "injuries" when those injuries may not exist anymore. He's played awful and it can't be sugarcoated.

Anyone think we should put Leino with Vanek and Pommers? Try Gerbe-Roy-Kaleta?

I didn't catch that as much, but that's probably because I was too distracted by the near constant mention of Marc-Edouard "Pickles" Vlasic, or by the 5 minute conversation about how the pipes are a goalies best friend (followed by naming each pipe, and a mini conversation with each pipe).

Fortunately no one on either team had a name that rhymed with dookey or booger or these guys would have really lost it.

Yup. Dunno about Gerbe-Roy-Kaleta, but I do want to see Vanek-Leino-Pominville.

What about demoting Vanek for a couple of games? At this point, Vanek is dragging down Poms with him.

Something like:

Leino-Roy-Poms
Ennis-Hodgson-Stafford
Vanek-Boyes-Kaleta
Gerbe-Ellis-Tropp

Just a thought.

Miller gets shutouts on back-to-back nights. Know who the last goalie to did that was? ...Miller of course. The SJ broadcast was really entertaining, they kept saying shutout to try and jinx Miller.

They were hilarious. Mentioned the whole shutout jinx, had fun with that, talked about Setoguchi's failed shootout attempt, etc.

They were the perfect mix of informative and entertaining, and while they pulled for their team, they certainly weren't homers by any means.
