I would like to both welcome you and question your decision making process...but then you say you picked this team in 2000, before the first round busts started, and other assorted failures.

Its too bad he probably will be done with classes before Luongo fails in this years playoffs.

Also I think we moose might make a splash in the lounge...altho that is a scary place.

Safety in Numbers! Especially when you're all wearing matching leather Jackets with a switchblades in the pockets.

You should also come up with a riot-related pun. Can't think of one right now.

Haha, I've taken some shots at the Canucks. He just rolls with the punches. Guy's pretty nice, and everything he says is in jest.

It's a Product/Price Management class. That's a pretty good one, I'll have to use it! Of course, that's basically throwing stones in a glass house.

I think I'm starting to get an idea for the theme of my GDT on the 6th.

Add that to the list: Office Space, Young Frankenstein, Monty Python and the Holy Grail...

It will be my second-to-last Spring break... Unless I decide to get my masters degree.

If that's the case, this will be a pretty good visual representation of my bank account:

It's been two years since I studied. Decided I didn't want a vocational qualification in business & adminstration. Now it's that time of the year again, last spring I was in the army so I wonder if I should apply for something? I mean, I can't do ****** jobs forever after all... On the other hand, I'd be four years older than most other inductees, which is going to be interesting since my tolerance for teens is about zero. Seriously, I still hate most of my age-group. Oh well, at least as I'm older I'll be able to brush them aside and concentrate on the actual studying, unlike last time. Decisions, decision... And all in the GDT

In Finland, I'd get actually paid for studying. 180€/month, which is not really a lot but hey.

Of course, I'm looking for a job still and if I find one, I'll still try to get in to my preferred school and work part-time. It's tough but I've done it before when I still was a minor.

The U.S. has this whole higher education thing backwards. Charging ridiculous amounts for tuition is not how you encourage learning and develop the country. I'm going to be in debt for like 20 years.

Almost all Cellular/Molecular Biology grad school is paid for thanks to some government funding or something. You also get paid a small amount for doing the research/being a TA. But yes tuition is ridiculous.

There's definitely an argument for that, however, if everyone has access to 4 years of college for free, then that becomes the new standard for jobs like how getting your GED or high school is now. Then you would probably have to get a masters to differentiate yourself. Seems like of a lot of employers generally don't care what your degree is in rather that you just have it. Shows dedication I guess.

I don't think it should be free, but I don't think people should be worried about switching majors because now they're going to be $20,000 more in debt.

Yeah, you're kind of freaking screwed if you want to switch majors. You start with so much debt it sucks, not to mention it can be tough finding a job that requires experience when you can't really get too much experience while in school.

It basically already is. There are tons of jobs that require college degrees even though they could easily be done by a high school grad.

MA is the new BA, and PhD is the new MA.

It sucks.

Yeah I'm not saying getting an education isn't good. I just think there's a lot of crap that goes into it that you don't really need to go into it. I mostly hate that they make you take classes that don't really apply to anything.

Those are my favorite classes!
If I had to only take Biology and Chemistry and Physics (granted only 2 semesters worth of physics) I'd go crazy. I need some music classes and history classes to try and think about things from a different POV. Plus I enjoy becoming knowledgable on a variety of subjects.

That would be pretty lulzy.

I'll go find a prime thread to do it in.

EDIT: Wtf this thread is moving ****ing fast.

I meant the post in quick succession idea from last page or the one before.

My nomination if you guys are still to do it:

Cam Barker

Everyone post the exact same thing. Something like "Yeah he sucked in Minnesota as well. Glad he's gone."?

Yuck, not a fan of it. I guess it was alright in the beginning, but I'd much rather just focus on taking Economics courses instead of doing random history courses so I can have enough credits. May be just me though.
