Interesting. 27 and 74 in the dog house?
Ugh. WHY.

So, as awful as this performance is. The Devils are a reason to be encouraged. They were abysmal last season -- or was it 2 seasons ago? I'm losing track. Anyway, they retooled around their same core and came back strong quickly. Lou is a great GM. If we could get one, things could get better for this team fairly fast.

Carlson, at least is only a -1 and the goal scored while he was on the ice was completely other peoples fault, a lot of Greens fault for leaving him out to dry for whatever reason.

Interesting thing is Schultz is even.

The Devils PP goal was pretty squarely on Carlson though.

Yeah, something like that..

I think I might go back to just watching the highlights, though. There's just nothing especially interesting to expect with the Caps at this point.

I was watching the Caps' role players that period. Hard to believe Laich and Ward are pulling 7.5m between them. That's another "Suter", lol. Maybe that can be a new game -- how many combinations of expendable players can you come up with to equal a potential "Suter".

He gave Clarkson too much time to do what he wanted with the puck. Didn't have him tied up or off balance. Watching how he was moving his stick, he seemed to be overthinking it. Can't let him get that pass off cleanly though.

Sarge even

Wait for it. 2 hits.

Who knew that Aucoin would be our big deadline pickup. I would have liked to see knuble get a game but Dad was tough to sit tonight I am sure.

I'm not surprised the Caps are getting shut out. Devils have arguably the all time best goaltender ever, in net.

So of course the Caps would get shut out!

(oh, its NOT Brodeur???....uh, well, uh....)

The worst part of this loss is that it didn't happen the game before the deadline.

Henrique was a great pick by the Devils. I thought he was going to add to his SH goals on the year there.

This season I'd rather be facing Brodeur. Plus Moose tends to have the Caps' number, doesn't he?

This.

But at this point, the more we lose the sooner the season is over and the sooner we can get some new management.

Reading the Leafs board is more entertaining than watching the Caps game.
