You do have a point with Marty sitting in Washington. It always seems he sits in Washington. Not always, but more times than not I remember Clemmensen, and Weekes starting games in Washington. A couple times Marty might have been injured like in 08/09. Hedberg started there last time I believe.
STOP THE 3RD PERIOD BREAKDOWNS!
We already blew a 3 goal to the Caps in the 3rd period last game. Devils were up 3-0 going into the 3rd, and Washington tied, but we somehow still won it in a shootout.
Washington scored 3 unanswered goals in like 6 minutes of play the other night against the Isles. Think they made it 2-1 with like 4 something left, tied it with 25 seconds left, and won it in OT only a couple minutes into it.
Say what you want about the Isles. Of course we are the better team, but the Isles clearly don't blow the 3rd period as much as we do!

For work I'm already scheduled for a week vacation in April. It's either to see some Devils playoff games back in Jersey, or Las Vegas. Clearly the Devils games would be cheaper as airfare from Tampa to Newark is cheaper, and I don't have to drop $180 bucks a night on a hotel room, and can stay with friends! No gambling either!
Lose tonight though, and I'll be checking out rates for flights, and room to Vegas.
Leggo Devils get 2 points by hook or by crook! Gotta stop this losing streak before it snowballs into a Chicago streak.
We're not in a position where we can afford 3-4 more losses in a row. Need to get to 90 as soon as possible, it's really not that far away anymore, just get the points.
There is one major thing this team is missing, and I believe it is poise. When the pressure is on, the team tends to buckle (especially on defense). It's more mental than anything else, and it's not something that can be changed with any additions to the lineup (such as a #1 defenseman everybody wants). It's something that they have to develop. Hopefully we see that improve as we move towards the playoffs; if not, it will be difficult to do any damage once the postseason begins. Right now they just have to focus on working hard and getting points.
