Great to see Emelin on the PP point.

Looking forward to seeing how much of a fight Eller puts up in this one. His team is going to get slaughtered.

4-0 after 12 minutes. Poor eller.

I never thought Italy would actually ever win a competitive hockey game! Sucks for Lars but for for Italy!

And Patches with another helper so far for team USA against Slovakia

Watching denmark now, I'm not surprised. There are guys on this team who can't catch a simple pass. It's like watching pee-wee. They should be using Eller at Centre where he can come back and help the D more. And they need the help, that's for sure.

Eller looked good on the right half wall for Denmark.

He got a good chance, but it came from him being in the middle in front of the goalie.

He cut in from that spot. On the PP, I like him where he is. Managed to escape his man easily.

Is Eller visibly the team's best player? How would you rate his performance?

You notice that his skating is pretty much the best on his team, IMO. He's being used on wing so we're not seeing his best stuff either. He made a few nice passes which his linemates promptly coughed up.

Nothing spectacular, but his team is being entirely dominated. Not much puck possession to speak of for denmark.

No. Frans Neilsen was better. Hardt was also good. Their defence is disgustingly bad though so transition is a big problem for them.

Eller gets an assist on Hardt's second goal!

Almost scored on the same spin move that worked on Tim Thomas once, as well.

How did the Czechs struggle so much against Norway?!?

Plekanec with an assist on the tying goal, no clue how he played though.

Norway only lost 3-1 to Sweden and 4-2 to Russia. They don't produce star players but they are playing better and better as a team. If you look outside the obvious top 6, they are now forming a group of 4-5 teams (Belarus, Latvia, Germany, Switzerland, Norway) that are not to the level of the top 6 but that are creating a gap between them and the teams below (Denmark, France, Austria, Kazakhstan, Slovenia and Italy).

They beat Sweden and Switzerland at last year's championship and lost to Canada by 1 goal and went on to finish in 6th position.

Eller just got robbed of a sure goal. God damn.

And that entire shift was proof positive of why you want Eller at centre, when he comes up the middle he is very dangerous.

Eller does not like Hedman. Another good rush by our great dane.

Eller was a standout in that game. Should of been on the pk at the end of the game tho.

It's a positive sign that Eller is producing in these tournaments. He has 3 points in 3 games now. Also good that he stands out in the games he plays. He definitely isn't done developing.

I don't take into account a goal against Italy. It's ****ing Italy.

But putting up 1 g 1 a against Sweden on Denmark. That's a good sign.

He should be producing against teams like Italy. So I take it into account.
