What a pass by Fowler. Ryan refuses to use his hands.

C4's gap control has definitely been better this season. I wonder if Beauchemin has anything to do with that.

Seriously Hayward? It shouldn't be a penalty? He ran over the goalie. You'd be screaming for a penalty if that was Hiller. You'd say "It doesn't matter, you still can't run over the goalie."

hiller should just skate to the faceoff dot and run into someone. with these refs it'd probably draw a call

The guy is five feet out. Should he be able to hang out in the slot too? The crease has no meaning if they make calls like that.

Goalies are not eligible to be hit, Static. It doesn't matter where they are. When you knock them over, you're going to be called.

So what is the paint for then? He floated out into an area that was a massive traffic zone, and then is surprised when he gets run into? Please.

The paint is more for incidental contact. Where you stop a goalie from being able to make a save. The goalie can have the puck on his stick, and you still can't knock him over out of the paint.

Goalies are not eligible for that kind of contact. Not unless they actually initiate it, and he didn't.

Incidental contact...is that like when a player accidentally runs into a goalie that has wandered out into the middle of a skating lane?

It looked accidental to me. Saku was looking the other way, and Irving came out into his path. But that's up to the ref to judge.

No, it's when a player is in the crease and his presence keeps the goalie from making the save. Knocking a goaltender over, even accidentally, usually leads to a penalty.

That won't happen. Prime is meant to be the main home of the Ducks. Prime is the one that pays the team money and who gets first pick. KDOC is just for the games Prime doesn't pick up.
