Boychuk also still day to day. Peverley's return "on schedule", per Bish.

March is horrifying to look at.

Rest up, boys. Take care of yourselves.

Sweet! Sounds like it's not too serious then. Looks like Boychuk dodged a bullet too. As long as we're healthy come playoff time.

Can't describe how huge it is all of a sudden to have both Zannon and Mottau on the roster, especially with this month coming up and considering Boychuk's injury and now Ference. With 4 different back to backs, you could mix and match so only 4 of your defensemen are playing in both games, and in reality, if you get to 3/24 and you're clear in the division, I wouldn't have a problem at all with Seidenberg and Chara alternating out in those games as well.

March is going to be brutal. I really think Julien if he is smart will rotate the new defensemen through the defense to give guys a rest-especially if we can get the division locked down (Ottawa needs to lose a few more games). I don't think the Bruins are catching the Rangers and I would rather see the team stay healthy during the next month. I think just about every weekend has a back to back game-which is going to be tough.

Yes a tough March. Too bad the B's lost to Ottawa on Tuesday. A win there and perhaps there is enough distance to secure the division while managing player time given the every other day schedule. Hope Tuuka is on his game because there should be a lot of goalie platooning.

Once the division is (relatively) clinched, Mottau-Zannon-Corvo should play as much as possible, since they didn't have to go through the grind that was last year's playoff run. The other 5 should get rotated through as much as possible.

Their goal should be to be as well rested and fresh of a 2 seed as possible.

Four games a week, in three out of four weeks of the month. Makes me tired and sore just looking at it. Gonna be a grind.

Ference was on WEEI this morning and it wasn't a half bad interview. He did say he was injured last night but "it's not a bad one". That's all he really said. They asked if he'd miss time and he laughed it off saying nothing of substance. So FWIW it doesn't seem like it's a going concern.

Awards:
Though he hasn’t ruled out the weekend games against the Islanders or the Rangers in Manhattan, Boychuk and the team will proceed with caution.

“It’s just how I feel and how the trainers feel. You don’t want to rush back into anything,” said Boychuk. “We do have eight D-men. You want to get back in the lineup, but you want to make sure you’re 100 percent and not 98 percent.”

The Bruins [team stats] lost defenseman Andrew Ference early in the third period of last night’s 4-3 win against the Devils with a lower-body injury.

“They took him out instead of forcing it,” said coach Claude Julien. “I guess what I’ve been told is, we’ll know better (today) how severe it is and whether he’s going to be fine or whether it’s going to go the other way.”

Julien had benched a struggling Joe Corvo late in the second period, but the defenseman was forced back into action when Ference got hurt. . .

Tanner glass hit him knee-to-kee right behind the goal when they played last February. He missed 10 games.

Funny how everyone still wants to make groin jokes. There are other kinds of lower body injuries you know.

He got rocked by Ponikarovsky last night and slammed into the boards pretty hard and went down on all fours.

He'll be ok and he's such a warrior that I think he'll play tomorrow.

No doubt about him being a warrior but we are lucky to have Morreau as an extra and playing the Islanders also helps. He could use an extra day like Johnny B

Rah, rah, rah. He's missed his fair share of time due to groin injury. I don't think it's terribly insane to wonder if he may have re-aggravated a condition that has existed for some time, surgery not withstanding.

Just saying people shouldn't always assume it is his groin every single time.
