**** sakes. The whole team just sat back and let Getzlaf get open for a one timer. Your not going to see the ducks let Tanguay walk in and feed Iggy an open one timer. **** **** ****
I have no idea how the flames played in the 1st and the 2nd period but i thought the guys were working hard in the 3rd before i lost my stream and didn't get to see that annoying last minute goal. Even a point would have been huge.. oh well. cest la vie
What a joke. How can you give up the game winning goal with 46 seconds left? The only bright spot about tonight is that Irving is still amazing. He must be a top 10 prospect of the NHL. If he starts next season, he would be a Calder candidate.

There is not a big enough facepalm for that garbage we saw on that play from the Flames...
Losing Cammy for any significant length of time would likely mean Moss would move back to centre and that would be the end of our season. I didn't like how he skated off the ice at the end of the game. I hope to God its not that serious.
Just watching the hi-lights and I am thinking Iggy might have had a good game as he was picked 2nd star, plus I just watched a fight, Iggy vs Beauchemin. Francois got the jump on the capt but Iggy still lit him up like a
Long time coming as far as i am concerned.
The game winning goal, while I am not blaming it all on Glencross, but he got caught completely flatfooted trying to stick check a streaking Perry with getzlaf in tow.
I am so ****ing frustrated with this season. It needs to just end. How the **** can so much go wrong for one team?
Ask the Blue Jackets but in all seriousness we can only blame Sutter for putting this team together but we can't put all the blame on him we can blame his brother too Brent. It also seems like the players are not wanting it bad enough... just from my perspective. Who is for firing Brent and hiring Ron wilson
Cammy seems to be OK, there's a postgame video of him at the Flames website.
It was a pretty entertaining 60 minutes of hockey, frustrating ending from the Flames' POV of course. Irving looks like a real goalie which is truly a revelation considering some the people we've had in his position in the recent years. Glencross, Iggy were really good again. Bouwmeester looks like he just doesn't give a damn, how can a guy his size be manhandled so easily around the boards?
The Ducks will make the playoffs, the Flames... may still make the playoffs.
I hate seeing a wasted effort like Irving put in. Without his play we're likely buried after two periods. Oh well, at least we have Irving between the pipes to look forward to next year. Five more losses and we're done.
I know it was Glencross that got flat footed but the whole damn team was standing at the blue line just waiting. I am guessing they were told to go into a defensive collapse, just to guarantee that single point. If Sutter wants to play like that they deserve to lose this game, they were playing fine the whole period and then sit back hoping to go to OT. I feel bad for Irving.
Giordano looked like a pylon on that Getzlaf goal...
Irving is starting to look really good, he could be a starter in 2013-14?
I'm thinking Irving will be at least a 1a/1b starter for us then. I think once Kippers contract is done (if he isn't traded) we will have a duo of Irving and a Veteran UFA journeyman goalie (ie Auld type).
I've had no time to watch the games lately due to midterms, but it looks like I'm not missing much.

Irving/Ramo would be cool. 2 younger guys (Considering how goalies are like scotch, better with some age) It would be different.
Is it just me or has Gio looked...not great the last handful of games.
I didn't watch the whole yesterday, but it seems like he's taking at least one stupid penalty or making one stupid play per game. Sometimes it costs us, sometimes it doesn't.

Gio has looked the same this year as last year IMO, bad penalties, caught out of position going for the hit, bad pinches, lots of heart and lots of blocked shots. The only major difference between this year and last is he is under more of a microscope because of his contract.

Really? I haven't taken into account Gio's contract when evaluating him. I agree though that he hasn't been very good. Seems to be panicking a bit about making something happen and just pushing the play offensively or defensively in general.

I have noticed it alot over the years with any Flames player, the moment they are paid more money expectations rise. It might be subconscious, it might not and not everyone does it. But I think at less than a million people thought of Giordano as a bargain and now that he is making real coin the bargain thought is gone and people are seeing him for what he really is.
