It must be hard for Jerry Jones to coach the team and sit in the owner's box at the same time

That is why Jerry is considering taking a respite from his coaching duties and sticking to owner / gm only...perhaps he can hire Payton to alleviate his workload

I think it's about 50/50 Payton would leave. I think he wants to coach the Cowboys, but he also doesn't want to leave Drew Brees.

That would be the ultimate ******* move if he leaves for the Cowboys.

Which is why I like it. Anything to **** the Saints over more is good for me.

Because I hate the Saints. I hate New Orleans. I have everything about that area. They have this "deservist" attitude because of Katrina, so they think they are entitled to a Super Bowl every year.

This is why I am also glad the Diamondbacks won the World Series in 2001.

It's be weird if Payton did leave the Saints to go coach another team immediately. How often does that happen? Usually coaches get fired or "retire" or take a few years off. Off the top of my head, I can't think of another coach that's done that. Recently, at least.

And you sound completely rational about your reasoning as well.

That wouldn't happen under any circumstance. Maybe Chase Daniel goes, because he'd be closer to playing time, especially if they decide Romo's time is up. Payton brought Romo to Dallas though, so he wouldn't throw him out on his ass.

Maybe Payton might light the fire under Tony Romo's underachieving ass..

Maybe he will finally pressure Jerry to fix the broken offensive line.

If I was the GM, I'd look to draft three or four offensive linemen in the draft.

Jon Gruden jumping from the Raiders to the Bucs is the only one I'm thinking of offhand that's "recent".

Funny, because I argued that he was a bad GM and you disagreed.

Back on topic.

He's okay. He has his strengths, and at times is right about players. But he also has his problems, in that he cannot seem to comprehend locker room chemistry or offensive line importance.
