John Scott vs Chara

Who would win this tilt? Dont think Chara has fought anyone this size and Scott can really throw them. I think Scott would actually win this.

Chara would bail after a few seconds like he usually does. If it were just the two of them with no refs to break it up Chara would be lucky to leave with his face.

This. Everytime the other fighter gets the upper hand Chara bails and drops on purpose.

He did it today too, He threw jersey jabs, had control. Then Shelley did the same thing, Chara backed off, Shelley got inside. And Chara dropped on him.

Scott AINEC. Chara only "wins" fights because of his size, take that away and he's got nothing.

I think John Scott would win this. For Scott, he had to toil in the minors for years, and had to fill the roll of enforcer. He was in the same system as Boogaard (RIP) and so he learned what he needed to do in order to make it to the NHL.

Chara on the other hand, made it the NHL quicker because he had the skill to to play regular minutes, versus minutes as an enforcer. Thus he hasn't had to fight on a regular basis.

I think if these two ever came to blows, Scott would have the technical & experience edge to gain the win. However I don't think Chara would ever engage in battle with someone like Scott, it is a loss for his team, while Chicago would glady trade Scott's 5 minutes for Chara's.

Scott and It's really not even close. Just because you're big doesn't make you a good fighter.

Chara would get the take down since he has grecco roman wrestling going through his blood. If the fight does stay up, I give it to Scott since he is miles ahead in the balance department.

Chara would eat him for lunch. Scott's a pretty terrible fighter. I'm still waiting to see him fight a legitimate heavy weight.

Already been through this. Some people have hatred against Chara and can't be objective. Anytime they fall down it's always Chara's fault.

And why is John Scott a great fighter again? Who has he beaten?

That applies to Hal Gill or Nik Antropov or Joe Finley. Not to Chara who has beaten up legit heavies.

I'd love to see it. Hell, I'd love to see Scott fight any heavyweight. Most of them are too afraid to drop the gloves with him.

For the most part Chara is content with just wrestling people to the ice. I'd pick Scott.

Who is the toughest guy Scott has fought? Parros with a bad hand last year? Chara has the resume against legit heavies and fared well. I'll take the guy that has been there, done that.

Who are you referring to? Reaves and Boll? Or McGratten and Parros?

Because I don't think the latter two are scared of Scott.

For an enforcer, Scott's fight card is realllllly weak. His most notable opponent was an injured Parros and after that it is bleak. David Koci was probably the next best fighter.

For comparisons sake, Chara pummeled the ever living **** out of Koci. If he planned on losing that much blood, he probably should have just gone to the Red Cross to donate.

Chara's card for the last 5 years includes: Shelley, Laraque, Koci, Brashear, Cairns, and Ivanans.

Way more impressive card than Scott's, and to top it off he is an actual hockey player.

One on one, if Chara keeps his balance I believe he wins the fight. Unfortunately he has really ****** balance during his fights due to his sheer size, and thus lack of leverage.

EDIT:Rewatched Chara vs Koci. Jack Edwards makes a Red Cross comment as well. Dammit.

Chara doesn't even try in fights. He knows what he can do to people, but at the sametime he knows what he means to his team. He'll get a few shots in wrestle someone down so he doesn't break his hand again. His balance really isnt that bad, he'd just prefer to end a fight as quick as possible.

Ah. Well, he took a beating anyway. Plus Chara's fight card is still far more impressive than Scott's.

That is just a stupid comment. Lets apply this elsewhere.

To any team that wins a hockey game. They only "win" games because they score goals, take away that and they have nothing.

You can't take away what someone's probably best asset is, it makes no sense to. He uses his size to an advantage like anyone should.

Parros ran scared from Scott literally three nights ago. Brookbank had to take his licks in his place (and it wasn't pretty).
