Zach O'Brien

This guys stats continue to standout to me, 49 Goals and 48 assists in 57 games, thats solid stats to say the least, But what really jumps out at me is the fact that in 115 games Zach has never taken a penalty...

I've never personally seen him play, my question to you is, is he really that discipline or does he just have 0 physicality to his game?

Also is there any future for this kid?

The zero PIMS are impressive lol... He hits but he's just a smart player.

If he didn't have knee/hip surgury he would've been drafted for sure. But because of that he wasn't and his skating is what brings him down. He runs a 3 man show in Bathurst and should (I think) make pro (ECHL) next year if he wanted.

You know Mark Stone out West or Team Canada? He's eastcoast him basically lol... They both "can't" skate, but they have a nose for the net and keep racking up points. The only reason ZBri didn't get to play on Team Canada is because he is from the Maritimes and plays in the Q

Mark Stone is 6'3" 200lbs

Zach O'Brien is 5'9" 180lbs

Not to say O'Brien can't make it, but if he has ANY issue skating he's going to struggle.

He was playing Midget AAA in his NHL draft year...he was a long shot to be picked and was healthy in his draft year...blaming his non drafted status because of an injury is naive.

Also he doesnt hit...im not saying hes soft...but he isnt physical at all, never seen throw a check or finish a check...thats not his game....ive seen him play about 50 times over the last 5-6 years...

Also Stone and him and very different players...and your last sentence is completely false...but keep thinking that.

to be honest I think he's right. Lots of good players here never get an invitation to the national teams on both the men's and women's side.
