it probably cost them more in man hours to have assigned employees calculate every action towards ultimate efficiency, than the 9$ they end up saving by going through with them.

The Montreal Canadiens announced Wednesday that forwards Andreas Engqvist and Louis Leblanc have been assigned to the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs.

No both Gomez and AP will be playing, or Marky will play.

If I'm Engqvist and I get called up, I'm just going to tell them to go **** themselves.

Haha, then he will be traded to Nashville and become a strong 3rd line center.

Doesn't he get paid a lot more for the games he plays at the NHL level?

So what you're saying is that our players are only playing for money? No wonder this team is where it is, no one is playing for heart or pride, just dollar signs....Gauthier

Yah, but Gauthier was his pro-scout. So it's his fault.

Leblanc has spent more times in the air this year than on the ice in Hamilton or Montreal.

What a horrible way to develop one of your top prospects with this constant yo-yo act. Just dumb. I guess I shouldn't expected anything else from this coach and GM though.

He's simply not physically ready to play in this league and play his style of game. Period. The issue won't correct itself until the summer.

He should have spent the entire season down in the AHL, with maybe a 3 game cup of coffee. Now he may not even play 40 AHL games this year, which is valuable development time missed.

Every game he misses in the AHL down the stretch makes it a little bit less likely he'll be ready in October next season for the big club. He needs to dominate that league before being a fulltime regular here.

Granted, we've had a mountain of forward injuries and that is the main reason for his call-ups, but this also goes back to PG not adding another depth forward in the off-season even though we had the cap room to do so.

Yeah cause making about $5,000 a day in the NHL really sucks. Brilliant!

Don't expect a good game from him on Saturday...

“Louis, we know we flew you back to Hamilton from Calgary on Wednesday on a four-hour flight over two time zones, but how about coming back today on a five-hour flight over three time zones to join us in Vancouver?”

and in 2-3 years we will probably get rid of him for peanuts and he will go on to be a solid player cause he will have been developed by an other team. Not like it's anything new

Would they have been able to use Gallagher or Holland as an emergency recall? Probably not since there is 48 hours between games.

Habs calling up a player to replace an injured one? This is ****ing nonsense!

Seriously, a player was hurt, someone needs to come up. If you guys don't complain that it's Leblanc, you'll complain that it's Engqvist and that he sucks.

A player needs to be replaced for a short time frame, very common practice around the league.
