Hey guys, this pertains mostly to Jets fans in Calgary but we're trying to White Out the Red Mile when the Jets come to town to face the Flames March 9.
More details can be found here but basically wear white to the game and if you can meet us down at Melrose anytime after 4pm (Mountain Time) and we'll head down to the game when it's time.
I hope this isn't breaking any forum rules, just trying to have some fun and show off our Jets pride when we can.
I would incourage doing this anytime the Jets play in a city with enough fans. Iy you want our help in organizing a meeting place for your city send me a PM and we'd be happy to promote this trend

Thing is, I may not be living in Edmonton beyond this summer, but you never know, so I'll keep ya posted.

I'll be coming own from Edmonton too, and yes - rocking my white away jersey.
Travelling with my wife and toddler son (who won't be attending the game). Not sure if we're getting a meal before the gameor not - if we are I'll stopby Melrose. That's on 17th Ave, right?

Yah it's 730 17 Ave SW and pretty hard to miss. Parking in the back, and if you're coming back after the game you can leave your vehicle there and walk down to the game with us.
We're staying at a hotel up near the airport and plan to park and ride using the LRT. Not sure of the routes yet, but does the train go by the red mile?

Yes it does, kinda. You'll be taking the train to the downtown area and have to transfer to the southbound train. The first stop is the Stampede grounds where the Saddledome is. You'd get off here and would follow the inside walk to the Dome, however if you go down the stairs and across the street you'll get to 17th Ave. From there it's about a five block walk to Melrose.

Feel free to PM if you need more info.
That sounds simple enough. Hopefully I'll see you guys there!
Oh man... I wish I could join you all at the Saddledome this week but I won't be able to make it since I get off work late and the game would start around the time I'm still on my way from Edmonton to Calgary.
I hope we can all do the same thing when the Jets are in Deadmonton next season. I'm gonna be one of them and it looks like I'll have to get myself an Away jersey so I can blend in.
