he'd elevate the play of anyone on his line.

But it's nice to see Bailey finally playing with some marginal talents, allowing him to showcase his strengths. I'm shocked how little flexibility Capuano (even Gordon) had with their lines - especially for such a terrible hockey team.

Nice to see a win.

This team is so dependant on JT, Hamonic, Nabokov

Not meaningless. Last year was meaningless. These kids need to learn to play meaningful hockey games. Even if they don't make the playoffs its good that they are trying to make a push.

Hey with all the crap calls that have gone against the Islanders this year late in games, I'm sure they are very happy with the win. Pretty solid road game by the boys.

amazing, you put out your good players to defend a lead when they have the goalie pulled & what a shocker, the good players can actually get to the puck & get it out. amazing philosophy Fred Flintstone.

Yeah, it seems like the knuckleheads were usually paired with Bailey. He's definitetly enjoying a renaissance playing with competant linemates. Hopefully he has turned a corner.

No, this year is just as meaningless. Every "meaningful" game they've played thus far they have **** the bed. In some instances, they didnt even show up ready to play. Period.

The year was officially over and meaningless when they didnt show up against Toronto in the home/home.

How do the Bruins lose such a meaningful game this late in the season against a team that's out of it?

Hmmm...

7 points out. We are still in the race. I don't think any of these games are meaningless to the team. Your opinion means nothing to them you have to see it from their point of view.

7 points out with half the conference to jump...assuming those other teams lose.

You're right, my opinion means nothing to them. But, considering that the ENTIRE month of February was meaningful (with an easier schedule to boot) and they collectively **** the bed in plenty of games where they needed to persevere...the season is over. Chalk it up to inexperience, to lack of an actual team, to shoddy coaching, etc. The fact of the matter is they will not make the playoffs because they lost too much ground over the past month.

Hold onto the hope, if you'd like. I won't be surprised when Bill Daly holds our card up somewhere within the top-5 draft selections.

If the youts on this team play hard to try and get in every game hereon out, the games are meaningful even if we finish 30th.

Maybe it'll help get the message across to our nimble minded tubby GM that the seasons aren't meaningless and he'll get better talent and make the necessary moves IN SEASON WHEN IT COUNTS.

And maybe that's enough to get the message across to our d-b*g owner that the team plays every game to attract FANS who pay MONEY and WILL SPEND if we COMPETE.

So there are no meaningless games unless the entire organism is determined to fail.

We're out of the race. No way we leapfrog so many teams in the loser-point era.
