I have a feeling Kassian will want to go with Kaleta to prove some point or another (and Kaleta seems like an easy target). Patty should just run alot.

Um, weren't Kassian and Foligno good buddies in Rochester???

Ruff had Erhoff paired with Sulzer in practice, but I doubt they were ever paired together in VAN, except if there was a D-penalty to Bieksa, etc.,

This is what I thought as well.

Sulzer wasn't in VAN when Ehrhoff was, so no, they haven't played together.

Plenty of friends fight in the NHL. Rob Ray and Tie Domi were good friends and they fought 13 times.

Was there any history between them from the OHL days?

I doubt Marcus plays anyways.

Besides that... I've never seen Marcus Foligno fight... but I doubt he could go toe to toe with Kassian.

Minor correction to the roster in the OP:

Pahlsson's now the 3rd line centre over here. #26. 3rd line's presumably going back to being a shutdown line instead of a 3rd scoring line.

--------------------------------------------

Yeah, lots of plotlines in this game. Who'da seen that coming in a Canucks/Sabres game a month ago? The psychological reactions to the trade are still all over the map in this town. Every game we lose by one goal for the next two years is going to be because we didn't have Hodgson around to score it according to some people, and others are busy demonizing the poor kid because of the rumours of obnoxious agency or parental overinvolvement. Personally, I'm hanging my hat on this trade having the potential to work out great for both teams. Loving Kassian's game to bits over here, myself. I can honestly say he's been an asset to every line he's been on, and not just because all the opposing players quickly remember other places they need to be when he rumbles into a scrum. This kid can actually play. Very pleasantly surprised by his vision and decisions with the puck.

Gragnani I'm less impressed with so far. There's just something about him that says he thinks he's the greatest thing since bottled beer, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Oh well, Grags for Sulzer was a spare part for a spare part.

Mark Lee and Kevin Weekes make me want to kill small defenseless animals. I hate getting stuck with them on CBC late games. Mind you, every other broadcaster on that network will probably be tied up for their 3 hour pregame coverage of the Leafs/Habs game today discussing the Ron Wilson firing.

Good luck tonight. Well, not too good.

Pretty hilarious that we're already being chastised for recalling Marcus by Amerks people.
You already have the player that you spent the first two months of the season *****ing about (Adam), you'll be fine.
Apparently it's against the rules to recall our contracted players..

Their 2nd line is terrible, all 3 players on that line have no chemistry at all.

It was their bottom 2 lines that beat the Blues imo and will probably have a huge presence tonight aswell.

Watching the 4th line on Vancouver last game against the St Louis Blues was scary to watch in the 3rd period.

That line with Lapierre and Kassian were basically feeding off one another and hitting everything in sight. They hemmed in the Blues team in their own end the entire 3rd period just smacking the d against the boards over and over
.
yea, wasn't that nuts?

if kassian has ignited lapierres playoff mode, then he's already worth it. it was brutally obvious how much they were feeding off each other. it was beautiful to watch.

wouldn't be so sure about that. Foligno can toss them and has only gotten bigger since his OHL days.

Adam is lazy and doesn't respect Rochester. They wanted Kassian instead of Adam and Darcy does nothing for them ever except crush their hopes and dreams Ok I'm done, this could go downhill really quickly.

He arrived to the arena ice just as the morning skate was wrapping up. With a game last night and a long travel day, I find it hard to think he’ll play. Lindy Ruff said, “We brought him in, we wanted to make sure we had protection.” Ruff’s answer to if he’ll play was, “I don’t know yet.”

He's fought plenty: http://www.hockeyfights.com/players/7492

Hell, Foligno and Kassian even fought during the same shift in Rochester.

I'm excited for this one. I think we'll lose, but it should be a good game. I hope Foligno plays.

Also, good to see Sulzer in the lineup for the first time.

That's awesome in Hodgson pre game interview one of the Canuck players said the scouting report on Hodgson is that he has a big head, haha Cody laughs and says they like to bug him about it, this has Bieksa written all over it.
