That's exactly what happened.
Sucks for Carolina to get screwed like that but this race is getting quite interesting. A consistent Purcell looks like a point per game winger and I have been very impressed by him lately, what a beautiful pass.

I'm not really too mad about the loss, since it probably would have ended in a shootout loss anyway, but there really wasn't much more Sutter could have done there. Garon's well out of his crease, Sutter's being pushed by Stamkos, and he has to leap to try and avoid contact. And he still gets called despite the obvious effort.
But as soon as it was announced Tim Peel was officiating, we knew he'd find a way to screw us over.
