I'm thinking Armstrong may be getting scratched due to his lack of speed, probably a conditioning issue since he's been so banged up all year. Rosie is a pretty good forecheck guy and Randy likes guys that drop the mits.

Agreed but I was referring to tonight where Rosehill is not available. But I get your point on speed and Habs do have plenty of.

Argue all you want,he's still called up when you don't want him. Nothing i can do about it. Hey, rolling 3 lines is a great idea when its neccessary. Maybe a three line team is something Bettman can look at to save costs.

no point to rosehill unless he's allowed to take an instigator once in a while and start a fight with a non-fighter who's taking liberties. Pushing people after the whistle doesn't intimidate anybody, and that's all he ever does

I always liked rosehill. Dont know why many dislike him so much, especially when the love for brown is sky high.

people talkin about Kadri, colbourne, or Ashton as the last call up but I would think Holzer might be the last callup Burke has said he thinks he's NHL ready so why not call him up and have a look at him for 10 games or so to see if he can play. this will allow them to move someone or Holzer should he perform well.

Something tells me there is going to be a lot of penalties in the game against Boston.

Someone explain why Rosehill and not Orr? Colton is a fan favourite, would be a huge boost to the dressing room and is/was one of the more feared guys to drop the gloves. Anyone?

I'd assume they think Rosehill is a better fit in the role, which is why Orr was sent down before Rosehill earlier in the season.

Do players who go through waivers multiple times count as depth players?

Well. Consider Orr isn't even fighting in the AHL...

So does this mean they can only send one player down to the AHL for the playoffs (assuming the Leafs don't make the playoffs)?

If so.. I'm mad.. wanted to see Frattin and Gardiner down there.

They were sent down for the clear day roster and already took 2 of the 4 post deadline call-ups.

Orr was out a long time ,and came back to early(my opinion) he looked pretty slow then. The marlies is a good idea for him at the time i think. I will say though,if he doesn't get a step back he is likely done.

Mike Brown skates decently, gets on the defensemen on the forecheck, has next to no NHL translatable hockey skills and can hold his own in a fight against non-heavyweights.

Let us not forget that Mike Brown was also deemed expendable (for a 5th round pick) from a team Randy Carlyle was coaching.

Leafs nation are obsessed with plugs. Mike Brown is the quintessential plug.

Rosehill now. Rosehill and Orr next year?

I like Orr. But is there room for both. How's Orr doing with the Marlies? Is he symptom free and concussions behind him?
