When your rep says he will get back to you in a few days, and then doesn't ... and ignores email after phone call after email, I'd say that's bad customer service. Wouldn't you?

I know it's the Rangers and they have a bad reputation with just about everything, but this is getting ridiculous.

i have came to realize that leaving messages and emails for my rep is pointless. the only way i can get my rep on the phone is to keep calling multiple times a day until she picks up. even during the middle of the season when nothing is going on i still have trouble getting in contact with my rep

Also, call from a different number. I had a rep from another team once who kept calling me in the offseason and I let it go to voicemail (at least 6 times + a couple emails). He wanted to do a customer survey and I just didn't feel like dealing with it. When it came time to relocate to better seats, I called the guy a couple times and got the voicemail and he never called back. On a hunch I called from the office phone and got him right away, so he was obviously pissed off and screening my calls to spite me

Maybe I am the wrong person to point this out (Sect 209 ROW 3 ), but I think you are getting too worked up over price break.

First of all, you will probably be able to start moving down rows right away, and if/when they have a few down years, you will be able to move down significantly.

Second, I think the guys in the rows just above break (who are probably very long term season ticket holders) will have a windfall, but that does not mean at your expense. If you were able to do OK with your extra seats in last few rows of 300's in the past few years (especially before this year), you will continue to do well. Basically you wont be selling for $50, the guy behind you will be selling for $75! Big difference.

If you loved the last row so you could stand etc, those days are over. But, as long as team is good you will do fine in resale (people just North of price break will do spectacular ) with any seats, especially anything 209-211 and 222-226. And if team does not do well, there will be plenty of opportunities to move down (or up).

What do they do if you aren't happy with any of the seat selections when you put a deposit down?
They will probably offer you lowers, chances are there wont be anything available in the upper bowl when they start offering seats to new subscribers. I had to buy seats in section 212 my first year after 2 years on the waitlist, paid way more than I wanted to. Then I was able to move into 300's prior to my second year. Good Luck!

I had the same situation. I had to buy tickets for one season in 223 but then after that initial season I was able to move up to the 300,s. A lot of people I have spoken to had to start in the 200,s but all were able to move upstairs after 1 year. A few were lucky to start right upstairs with seasons. It seems like after that initial season downstairs there is enough turnover to get something upstairs if you want.

Go on their twitter page and complain. Trueblue9441 did that when the pricing model got released and his rep called him the next day.

Good value (relative). Best value for $83 seats are 209, 213, 222, and 226 row 3. And you're right there..

Best value overall is 209, 213, 222, and 226 row 15 ($45)

I was worried about Gallery row 2 but my Rep told me last week that they mapped everyone one row back so the guy in the first row doesn't get the big bump (from $63 to $110). Glad it worked out for me.

They should have done that for the Rangers but I don't think they did right?

I split different Knicks seats with friends:

section 424 row G aisle is now section 211 Row 21 on the aisle
section 404 row B is now section 225 Row 16
section 408 row A is now section 222 Row 15

Pretty happy on all new locations.

For the secondary relocation process, I have a thought. (This goes for the knicks too) Tell me if my logic makes sense lol.

Lets say the entire upper bowl is assigned and sold out right now ... meaning there are no open seats. Lets say (for argument sake) that 70% of the people renew and 30% go to the secondary relocation process. The 70% of the people now get to move around to the 30% of seats that are now open. Come time for the secondary relocation process, these people now have a chance to move into the newly open seats from the first relocation. Doesn't this mean every secondary relocate is theoretically guaranteed a seat someplace in the upper bowl?

This is my first season as a Rangers ticket holder. I only got 1 seat and squeezed in late September. I'm in 304 and will be "relocated" to 227 next year. By that i mean it's the same spot on the ice, just renumbered with the construction. I put a request in for a second seat in a similar area. Price also went from $59 to $73 per. Whatever.

Did you notice that the knicks invoice is for 44 games?

Rangers are 41 games.

I think you will go for free next season, my friend. Those seats can easily sell for double face on average.

You forgot the folks from the lower bowl who may get to downgrade before the secondary upper bowl folks. (But your analysis would be correct in theory IF the lower bowl folks are not allowed to downgrade - I still have not receive a definitive response on this).

I thought they weren't allowed to downgrade though? Why would lower bowl people be able to downgrade but not the $73.00 people of the upper bowl?

EDIT: Misread the last part of that post. I'll try to get a definite answer asap

i think your theory would be correct if a lot of people that renew don't add seats to their account in the upper bowl. you could see people in the lower bowl add a pair in the upper bowl and then the following season drop their pair in the lower bowl since you are no longer allowed to downgrade.

Are people allowed to add additional seats to their account before or after the secondary relocation process?
