Yet you post in this thread about him. Like it or not most fans agree with Don, otherwise he still wouldn't be on the air.
I have a lot of respect for Cherry having met him, but his argument was severely flawed. There aren't any Ontario born players, but what does that have to do with anything? Should we just sign a bunch of 4th line grinders and ice that? As long as they are Ontario born that is. I vote for a Barn fight.
Best part of the telecast most nights and again he's absolutely correct.
I wonder if Burke caught criticism in Anaheim, that 07 team had almost all Canadians on it.
That's the thing that doesn't ring true about this alleged Burke adversion to Canadians/Ontario players...Anaheim was loaded with Ontario players and Canadians. Why would he display this "US bias" while with Toronto but not with Anaheim?
I like Cherry and MacLean, but to me the fact that 75% of HNC's intermission was devoted to this (non) issue seemed really silly.

Cherry has a point, how does every other team in the league have at least 1 player from Ontario and the Leafs don't have not even 1??
Also liked Ron's comment on Burke suggesting 'the Leafs are at a disadvantage being in Toronto and having to face 5 players every game that are from the area'... If Burke see's it like that why not take advantage of Local players upping their play and get some on the team? Great point!! Burke is a donkey

I think it's pretty clear that Burke has gone out of his way to target american players. Cherry certainly had a point.
