I liked what I saw last night, in the game and in the post-game presser from the coach. I thought it was a nice change on all counts.

Yeah and we also dumped the puck in way more than they used to, it cuts down on turnovers and it starts a cycle game. I liked what I see so far.

So that makes him a POS as well?

Phaneuf was supposed to shutdown Montreal's best scorer this year and he did a good job of staying on him all night. Why is Subban taking liberties with Connolly and cross checking him and fighting him when the game is over?

Phaneuf doesn't care who he hits, he doesn't go after weak players, he goes after all players.

Phaneuf also destroyed eric cole last night (who is montreal's biggest or second biggest player)

Subban goes after the softest guy on the leafs team.

Also Subban backs away from most fights except the smaller players
And Phaneuf is more inconsistent I find in choosing who he fights.

Phaneuf didn't cross check him in the back when there were 5 sec left in the clock.

Phaneuf did go after Eller in the first period but he didn't try to fight him.

I think our goalies will improve if we play this system. Gus looked really good after the first goal yesterday

Yes it will be interesting. Same players, different system but so far it seems the new looks leafs give up low quality of scoring chances. But let's wait until we face the bruins - that will be a better rule to measure the leafs progress.

We are talking Bettman here!!!

Don't think the comment were directed at you. BTW, do you drink the Rye with coke or ginger ale?

I was nervous everytime Gustavsson went behind the net to stop the puck, but we won that is what is important.

As a rule, Phaneuf hits straight on with textbook, open-ice hits. I've never seen him slew-foot a guy (something that POS Subban has done at least three times in his young career).

Dion doesn't pick his spots. He's dropped the gloves against Clarkson, Hartnell (twice), Cowen, Horton (twice), Gaustad, Bertuzzi (twice), Doan (twice), Moen, Jackman, Newbury...

Subban's fight card is a joke. He takes runs at smaller players, cheapshots guys, yaps constantly, and won't back it up. The guy has actually turtled on a few occasions!

Comparing Subban with Phaneuf is insulting and ignorant.
