Looks like Klinkhammer is getting top six time:

Quote:
Ian Mendes ‏ @ian_mendes
Alfredsson says he expects to play on a line with Klinkhammer and Turris to start tonight's game.
EDIT: Zack Smith is a healthy scratch per Mendes.

Good message to send to Zack Smith... He was en fuego earlier this year sometimes playing 18+ mins a night on the 3rd line... Lately he has dipped to the 10 range and bottoming out around 8-9 mins... Clearly he needs a wake up call...

People are going to lose their marbles that Klink is getting a top 6 shot but Petersson never did... Im ok with it...

we have enough players even with smith out to not play konopka

depends on if Kdaug is out too

Mendes tweeted that Konopka's in and K-Dawg is out.

"To make room for Klinkhammer, Zack Smith will be a healthy scratch. Daugavins also out tonight; Konopka in." - Mendes

Smith has been one of my favorite players this year...but ever since he was hit in the head, he hasnt been the same. He doesnt even fight anymore, his last 2 fights he just stood there and took punches. This guy is key, we need him at his best to have any success.

Disappointed with the performances of Zack Smith and Kaspars Daugavins, both will be given a seat in the press box as the Senators try to get back on track against the Florida Panthers at the BankAtlantic Center.

“We can only play 20. We have to play well to play,” said MacLean. “At this point of the season, other people are playing better and that’s why they’re not playing.

New revised lineup!

Here’s a look at the lineup:

Forwards

Milan Michalek-Jason Spezza-Bobby Butler
Rob Klinkhammer-Kyle Turris-Daniel Alfredsson
Nick Foligno-Jim O’Brien-Chris Neil
Colin Greening-Zenon Konopka-Erik Condra

Defence

Filip Kuba-Erik Karlsson
Jared Cowen-Sergei Gonchar
Chris Phillips-Matt Gilroy

Goalies

Robin Lehner
Alex Auld

I was abroad and missed a month worth of hockey between January and February. At which game did Smith get hit in the head?

The guy looks disinterested - which is completely opposite of the Smith we saw until the All-Star weekend. Yes, he is the kind of player we need to step up during the playoffs.

we need a win to breathe. nothing is guaranteed but usually we're good against the cats.

Wow, not a pretty lineup.

Lehner+Spezza+Karlsson+Michalek will have to carry the team on their shoulders.

It was the San Jose game, he was cutting up the middle, without the puck, looking at the play, and he collided with a Sharks player. Was hit really hard...I cant seem to find video of it.

What has Klink done to get top 6 mins? Hopefully this offseason the team addresses the need for top6 forward.
