I'm getting SO ****ING PISSED whenever I see Butler on that top line. He just isn't a top 6 player. ****!

I PRAY we sign Parise or make a trade for Ryan. We need top line scoring. Or Silfverberg/Stone come in next year as legit top 6ers.

I think SIlfverberg easily can but then again, I'm expecting him to play on that second line.

Well Sens need to continue to pad the lead, but I get the feeling that Florida finally gets one against em' this year. Hopefully Lehner plays lights out and Sens find the back of the net early and often.

Both of which came into a depleted team that just traded away 4 veteran forwards at the deadline, and to a team that was missing Michalek and Regin indefinitely to a lower body and shoulder injury respectively. They then earned the right to continue to play in the top 6 longer term.

These are completely different situations.

This game screams "take them lightly" to me. Hopefully that isn't the case.

Every time I've seen Klinkhammer play he seems to have a really high compete level. They need that right now. He'll go hard to the net and seems to have an ability to finish given his big numbers in the A. Great story though regardless of whether he sticks or not. Traded for a conditional pick to help out our farm team and now he's on a line with Daniel Alfredsson. Should be interesting to see how this unfolds. Who know maybe he becomes our Patrick Sharp/Rich Peverley. Probably not but he looks to have the package needed to be an effective bottom 6 checker.

Konopka has been decent the past few games, so I hope he stays in the line up. Smith needed this wakeup call. I question whether he played through a concussion and that might be a reason for his drop off.

On a related note, does anyone know if Daugavins is still waiver exempt?

Sometimes you just try different things. It's not always about players earning it or working their way up. The sooner people recognize that, the sooner they'll be able to understand coaching decisions.

he's a point a game in bingo, best on the team. what more do you want from him? can't give him a couple games to see if he's worth keeping around?

i don't get what the big deal is.

I'm excited for when we have a good LW (or is Butler right now?) on the top line.

Silfverberg or Zibanejad could be the answer on the Michalek-Spezza line next season. Or darkhorse, Mark Stone!

Listening to Klinker's interview, it sounds as though Ottawa has a nack for reclamation projects. He wasn't doing well for Chicago's AHL team before he got to Bingo. The hammer seems to be flourishing here.

We lost the last game, so I doubt it. This game screams, we want to catch Boston.

So Klinkhammer gets called up for 2nd line minutes but Petersson and Hoffman got stuck on the 4th line? Bizzare.

Unfortunately Bobby is the best RW option other than Alfie.

However I'd like to see Turris given a shot with Spezza. He's not producing at centre and it may spark him. Foligno at centre with Alfie was gold, they should try that again.

Michalek - Spezza - Turris
Anyone - Foligno - Alfredsson
