actually for elite goal scorers they tend to peak from from early twenties to 25. Take a look at the top say 30 goal scorers of all time and you will be surprised at what ages they score the most goals.

My theory for this is better players peak earlier because they figure they game out quicker than say an average player who takes time to develop and might peak a littler later. The better player will peak early when physical abilities are at a prime which is usually from early twenties to 25. Im not exactly positive on it but on the little research that I have done elite players peak slightly earlier.

Also look at sports like Tennis, swimming, soccer, sprinting etc, usually they peak at 25 or earlier. But at 27 in most sports there is a slight slight decline.

Now Im not making excuses for Ovie because obviously he should be doing better and not have declined this much but his prime years were defintely from 20-24. (5 seasons). He will never repeat a stretch like that no matter how many people still think the prime is from 27-32. Its simply not. But he defintely isnt taking nutrition and training serious. Just look at the pictures of him. To much bodyfat. He used to be really lean at 20-21. Now I know some of you will say yah but he was lighter etc etc. True but when you add muscle dont add that much fat. If anything he should be basically as lean as he was 20-21 but heavier with more muscle. To me it looks like he basically has the samle muscle mass but just fatter.

And i know some people will say hes still explosive and as fast as he ever was. Yah optically he may look just as fast. But the differences could be so small that a casual observer wont notice. You really think a person could notice a say half a step loss. No.

Its like in the 100m for sprinting. A guy who runs 9.95 is world class and will make the finals in a world championship event and probably finish in the top 5. Say hes 28-29 years old and he loses .3 seconds hes basically a nobody in the event. Hes still crazy fast just not enough to be among the world elite.
