lol ive noticed that too...this is the type of slump that you don't know what team will show up. If the Leafs bring their A game it'll be very close.

if Wilson was still here = Automatic win for you guys

With Carlyle = anything can happen

I have a hard time believing the Leafs can beat Boston even with a coaching change. It's the one game where everyone just decides to stop thinking.

I'd be surprised if we can win this one. It's a win-win either way. The Leafs are just two points away from a top 5 pick. If they lose, I doubt they have to confidence to get up and play against other top teams.

If they can win against Boston in their 5th try this season, it will go a long way, and maybe they can even beat Pitts/Flyers/Rangers etc.

i agree to a degree..i mean he's only been there for one game and that was against the terrible canadiens. Although if you do beat us.. i'll be a little more convinced. With that being said i agree that it will be a tight game.

Beating Boston would send a way bigger statement then beating the Habs, thats for sure.

Regarding that "Heart" video posted earlier, the narrator sounds exactly like Rawls from The Wire, anyone else hearing that?

Well it's kinda of a win win, if we see a whole new Leafs team vs Bruins then great Carlyle already making huge impact. However if Bruins shut us down and they crush us, Carlyle gets to see the Leafs at they're weakest point.

I think he was speaking more of Wilson's incompetence than Carlyle's prowess.

At least, that is how I would have written it (/meant by it).

Komisarek, now that you've been granted top 4 minutes, show Lucic you're the boss!

I'd like to see Franson, get back in sometime.

Roll with Gus, he already showing the signs, of more play, more confidence.

Put Franson in for Liles. Give Liles a rest day since he hasn't been doing well, and Franson brings more physicality than him, which is necessary against Boston. Put Rosehill and Army back in, preferably for Lombo and Connolly.

Lol i don't think its worth the risk. Why take a run at Lucic to show 'your boss' while risking a penalty.. It won't make a difference really, the disputes between those two will never end.

You could tell with how shaky he was at the start of the game then how he got better as the game progressed, that Gus is the type of goalie that needs to keep playing... get on a roll, if we kept playing this guy when Reimer came back (end of January) I wonder where we would be right now.... Keep playing him please Carlyle. I hope you see more in him then Wilson did, cuz I prefer him to Reimer.... (even though Reimer seems like a very nice guy... I don't think he has as much potential).

This.

Was hoping to see Franson as well. As someone said he would be adequate replacement for Liles.

Why? Hard not to cheer for him. But I feel way more comfortable with the Monster. Turning point in the season IMO is when the Monster lost after having a stellar January. Reims comes in and plays a few good games and then struggles big time. Wilson goes back to the Monster and destroys his confidence again by never allowing him to play back to back if he lost one. He repeated gave that chance to Reims who continued to struggle. I know the Monster is a UFA and they are committed to Reims next year, but based on this year I would ride the Monster the rest of the year as long as they have a shot.

A coaching change won't make a huge difference against a team like Boston, imo. The crop of players on this team just don't seem to have what it takes against tough teams. I guess we'll find out Tuesday whether it was a system or a personnel deficiency

Glad Rask is not playing in this one. He seems to have our number. Also, hopefully carlyle can keep Kessel away from Chara
