Newly acquired star Zach Parise may not last long in Washington. GM Mowzie has approached Parise with a contract extension, but Zach has been cold to the idea of re-signing. We hope to work something out with Zach's camp, but will also look at moving him if the right deal comes along.
Just a reminder all contract talks go through the commissioner as well. I've started contract talks with a lot of GMs and a few extensions have already been signed.

Haha I can assure you were not. We did this for cap reasons and Position filling. We needs a 2/3 lw and a backup and Glencross is on a long term cap friendly contract. With Coutourier Giroux and Briere, Schenn was expendable. Sorry to disappoint though
Not to mention Flames now owe us a favor or two now for refilling their prospect pool. I expect they will be compliant with future flyer requests

You were asking me for Goligoski... yet you were willing to let Schenn (and other stuff) go for Glencross and Karlsson

I am very comfortable with my top 4 going forward, even without Pronger. Thats the only reason I let that trade die. Glencross is perfect for the Flyers and Karlsson is a more than capable backup. And like I said, Schenn was expendable with the abundance of top 6 Centres on the flyers.
Following his trade Olli Jokinen has signed a new deal with the Canes.
3yrs-14.5million.
Jokinen claimed he was excited to be playing with his brother from another mother Jussi. He also claimed he was excited to be playing within the Canes new style of hockey which he called "pond hockey" after being stifled in Calgary's geriatric style. He was also excited about Rosco's Chicken and Waffles for some reason.
I probably speak for a hand full of people when I say keep your negotiations private.
See, if it was a negotiation for a pending trade between myself and another GM, there's no reason for me to disclose the info unless it happens. In this case however, nothing is pending. Goligoski isn't on the market anyway. I understand your point, but it happens in real life where a team's offer for a player no longer available is revealed (eg: Ranger's offer for Nash).
