Gonna be a tough end of the season for the B's...

Corey Crawford took his starting job last year; that's all you need to know.

Good. As long as Turco gives the Bruins the chance to win when he's in net and allows Timmy to rest up for the playoffs, this is a worthwhile signing. The Bruins were down to Michael Hutchinson who is in his first year of playing professional hockey.

I wish well to both injured goalies, but I'm glad the Bruins are in deep.

Has Turco returned to NA already or is he still in Europe?

That is true for players under By-Law 28.1, however there does appear to be an exemption for Goalies. Under By-Law 28.2 any Goaltender on a teams Reserve List - or in the case of an emergency situation any Goaltender not on another teams Reserve List - are eligible to play in the playoffs even if signed/acquired after the Trade Deadline.

That said, Turco would still need to clear waivers (or be claimed) before being eligble to play.

I can't imagine that anyone would claim Turco.

Why let a goalie get through waivers to help out the cup champs.

No chance he goes through.

Not for nothing.......Toronto could use a goalie and I'm pretty sure they're higher on waiver priority than Boston, no?

Please let this happen lol just to see a HFBoards meltdown.

I have my doubts about him going through. If he does though, that's a hell of a great signing for Boston. Turco's a great #2 behind Thomas.

Good hopefully the Bruins extend him and keep him off TV for as long as possible.

IF the Canucks were to theoretically claim Turco just to ***** with Boston it would pretty much cement them indefinitely as the most hated / classless team.

Teams have more respect for the players than to screw them over by blocking the signing. He will clear. No one else has any use for him.

To be honest, I don't think Turco has anything left.

So, you're basically saying no one will claim him to prevent the Bruins from getting better?

Problem is that anyone that claims him has to keep him on the roster for the rest of the season. He cannot be sent to the AHL. So who in the East has a space on the roster for Turco in a back-up role?

Toronto? Tampa Bay? Montreal?

Not an old tired one, but who knows I guess. I'd bet that he clears easily.

The starter for Providence is injured as well and his backup sucks.
