Both TD Garden teams are hot garbage. Amazing that both get away with it.

Yeah, we had an era rivalry with them in the early to mid 70's. But if we ever face them in the playoffs consistently( doubt it), we might be able to build some bad blood.

This is why he's Johnny Malkin though.

He has the size and talent to be a GOOD third liner, but instead he uses his talent to try and play like he's a first liner.

I just got back from the game and there were a whole lot of Bruin fans there. And once again we play terrible game.

He can be aggressive in the corners(I hope so, considering he is the biggest man in hockey). But his reputation goes FAR beyond that. If you listen to some of pundits they make him out to be Scott Stevens. Like he is some sort of boogeyman on the ice, he isn't.

Im not saying he is not a great player, and he doesn't deserve respect. But his playing style doesn't jive with his rep.

Nice to see Staal lead in minutes again. McD and G not getting over worked either. We'll need them both at 100% come playoffs.

On a puck possesion team, like Detroit, he might fair a little bit better. But his skillset doesn't translate well on the bottom six of the NYR.

LOL...that would mean a suspension because the way they avoided him today he would have had to gone in the Bruin room to do that !!!

Torts isn't afraid to bench players until they bend to his will. Do the same with Mitchell. He isn't Geno Malkin. Let him sit a period or a game.

gotta disagree here...boston's a great team. they have some injuries they're dealing-with and very tough. devils are excellent too. there are plenty of dangerous squads out there.

not sure the rangers have any snipers aside from gabby and occasionally anisimov. that's their weakness. not enough 'skill' goals.

i ask the same question about scott. staal got dumped illegally into the boards in the canes game with scott right there and scott did nothing. i'm happy to give him a few more games to make an impact, but at this point, he's just a pylon out there.

That's a ridiculously unfair statement. Staal was upended by tiny little Skinner and Bickel, Mitchell and Rupp all surrounded him and swatted him around like a bunny. Not sure what you were expecting to happen.

He really is brain dead. Utterly stupid.

He's Lennie from "Of Mice and Men".

Seriously hope someone blindside sucker punches him and his career goes down the toilet where it belongs.

the more I watch that replay of those cheap shots by Lucic, the more I can not stand the guy.

Just waiting for the day when someone punches Lucic's ugly face in and rattles his brain.

no one did enough, in my eyes. yelling and pushing doesn't make a guy think twice next time.

i dislike lucic too, but i wonder how dirty a player he really is? i honestly dont know much about him. he seems like an enormous twatt who fights smaller players. but does he go for knees and heads, too? i am just wondering. seems he has a helluva rep.

He's...quite dirty. aside from the Miller incident which you probably saw, He goes for cheap shots, and runs from players who will fight him with no fear. Notice he didn't go near scott or rupp.

If Shanahan doesn't suspend Lucic for, not the sucker punch, but the blatantly meditated hit to the back of the head into the glass...

Then my accusation of Shanahan being a puppet is more apparent.

The sucker punch I can accept. Whatever.

The blatant disregard for another human being's life is what pisses me off.

He could have pushed McDonagh off the puck from the side, instead he curled around and hit McDonagh's head from behind into the glass.
