Bit of a mistake, but fast thinking and good awareness by Emery there. Good save to make up for it too.

He had a couple guys all over him. It's not like he had lots of time and just gave it away. Point is, that whole play is completely avoided if Seabs takes the time and space infront of him and either skates the puck out of the zone or makes a breakout pass.

Oduya really is terrible at defense.

They're just being sloppy right now. Need to come out with more intensity and forcus in the 2nd period.

After Detroit scored, they really dominated us. Hawks way too fancy, not enough pucks to net as usual.

1-1 after 1 period.

The Hawks are probably a bit lucky, given that the Wings have 2 posts already. Emery has done well lately, but he seems a bit shaky today.

What a boring game so far, no passion from either team. Boring, soft hockey.

Hawks always need to simplify. They ALWAYS play too fancy. Seabrook trying to skate it deep into the zone instead of making the simple play, turns it over....ends up in the back of the net at the other end. That's what this team is.

Oduya was dreadful that period.

I didn't see it, but Kindl apparently had a UBI, and reportedly won't return

Hawks need to stop waving their sticks around. So many times they attack the puck, wave their stick at it, and skate right past the player, suddenly parting the Red Sea for the wings player with the puck. Take away time and space with your body, not your stick.

No one else in this thread did, but I blame Kane for that goal against. Not only does he get burned, he floats back with no purpose and doesn't cover the trailer. Ugh.

Oduya is horrendous ,, That trade looks worse and worse

Emery looks shaky and Hawks look lost defensively at times
