Dodgers falling apart when it matters?

Sounds like all is right in the world. They haven't won anything since the 80s, guys. Its not gonna change any time soon.

Dodgers trying to blow a 10-1 lead and are up 10-8 in the bottom of the ninth.

Game ending double play. Dodgers salvage a victory in Colorado.

What did I say a couple days ago? You don't have to actually get on base to be a "table setter" in a Mattingly lineup; you just have to be a "gritty veteran" or have speed...or both.

Think we should target Scioscia? Chances are he'll get canned if the Angels don't make the playoffs.

If the Dodgers continue their pathetic play, I really hope Mattingly is fired. Management went out and made the team infinitely times better, and yet they only get worse. Someone's gotta pay for that (and I hope Mattingly). Terry Murray Lite.

Scioscia would be an interesting choice. I'm not going to pretend I know who the best candidate would be for the position.

Bottom line is Mattingly doesn't cut it. Give Tim Wallach the chance he deserves.

So now that the Dodgers are done for the season...lol It's gotta be something in clubhouse. I don't know how you add the firepower that they have added to the line up and get nothing for it.

I was rooting for Wallach to get the job a couple years ago based on what I had read about all the candidates.

New York Rangers have been the poster child of this for more than a decade. You need SOME chemistry.

Tony, admit that you miss Sean Avery as much as I do and we all can move on.

I've been incredibly impressed with the job Brett Butler has been doing in Reno with the Aces (D-Backs AAA team). They always kill my local SkySox.

Keep in mind that Lorenzo Bundy was just named the PCL Manager of the Year. This is notable because Bundy is the manager of the Dodgers' AAA team, the Albuquerque Isotopes. http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp...=.jsp&sid=l112

Quote:
ROUND ROCK, Texas - Lorenzo Bundy of the Albuquerque Isotopes has been named the 2012 Pacific Coast League Manager of the Year, the league office announced today.

Bundy was voted the PCL's top skipper after a balloting of the 16 field managers in the league and media representatives from each PCL city.

Bundy, 52, has the Isotopes in first place in the American Southern division as they look to win their third division title. With four games remaining, Albuquerque is currently 77-63, which represents the third-most wins in their ten-year history.

The 2012 season marks Bundy's second with Albuquerque after leading them to a 70-74 record and second-place finish in 2011. That year he also managed the PCL All-Star Team, as well as the World Team for the XM Satellite All-Star Futures Game during the Major League All-Star Game festivities.

Bundy first became a player-coach in 1989 and a manager in 1990. He holds a lifetime 598-642 career record going into the 2012 season, with experience managing in the Gulf Coast League, South Atlantic League, Midwest League, Florida State League, Mexican Pacific League, and Pacific Coast League. Bundy has also seen coaching time in the Major Leagues, including with the Arizona Diamondbacks as the first base coach in 2009 and as a bench coach in 2004.

This marks the first time Bundy has been named the PCL Manager of the Year in his career. In 2006 he led the Tucson Sidewinders to the best record in Triple-A, capturing the PCL Championship was well as the inaugural Triple-A National Championship.

Among those who also received votes for the Manager of the Year award were Mike Jirschele (Omaha), Darren Bush (Sacramento), Marty Brown (Las Vegas), and Brett Butler (Reno).

Is David Courtney doing the PA job tonight? Kinda strange, since he's the Angels' PA guy.

BTW, tonight's God Bless America singer took ****ing forever to finish the song. Holy ****, she trolled everyone in the stadium.

Quick question.....Why THE ****...would Mattingly put Guerrier in in such a high pressure situation when he has literally pitched 2 innings since April? AND THEN...put Ely in, for his first appearance of the season, in a tie game in extra innings when we could take the division lead? This guy baffles me again and again.

Also he had League, Belisario, and Tolleson, who have all pitched REALLY well lately, on the bench. (Minus Tollesons last appearance.)

I understand we have injuries in the bullpen...but seriously...Ely and Guerrier who have pitched a combined two innings? In an important game? He also had back to back lefties coming up in the 8th...he could have gone with Choate over Guerrier and gone lefty to lefty....but no.

That was over more than 3 seasons, though (not that it's still not amazing).
