Mattingly really has his team fired up for the biggest series of the year.

I have a sick feeling the Midgets will at least reach the World Series again this year. I just don't see the Nats matching up well against them especially with their stupid decision to shut down Strasburg. The Reds are gonna get shut down. As we all know, it's all about pitching and luck in the playoffs, which SF relied on in 2010. Outside of Buster Posey and Sandoval (based on his career history), their lineup is **** yet they light up the scoreboard. But our lineup gets shut out at Coors Field and mowed down by Barry ****ing Zito. Funny how things work.

Also, does anyone else feel like we wasted years with Russell Martin? Always knew AJ was gonna be a decent major league catcher. His minor league stats weren't beastly but they were good enough for a position that doesn't require great offensive numbers. We should've traded Martin when he had some value. Take out his fluke 2007 year, you'd be looking at a .220 hitter. LOL.

The Dodgers get worse while the talent gets better. Yet Mattingly still has a job. Joke. The guy has no idea what the **** he's doing.

Knew exactly what was going to happen when Mr. Double Play came up with 1st and 3rd one out.

As for Sciosca. I appreciate what he has done, but I wouldn't lose any sleep if he went home to the Dodgers this winter. He has cost the Angels probably 6-7 games in the standings with his worthless in game management and his obsession with veterans. The Angels have the best player in baseball this year and Sciosca had him in AAA to start the year.

It's like the Dodgers is where hitters go to die.

This has always been my issue with collecting many superstars on one team. They all seem to want the big hit, rather than just getting on base or moving the runners over for the next guy.

And lol Kendrick, I have no idea what got into him. A few weeks ago his dad apparently told him to suck it up and be aggressive. Ever since he's pitched like Cy Young.

Just like our hopes for an NHL season, the Dodgers' playoff hopes depend on this weekend. Time to put up or shut up.

Ned Colletti says that Don Mattingly will be back next year, curious to see how Dodgers fans feel about this? I know as an Angels fan I won't be to happy if Scocia is guranteed a job next year, especially if the Angels fail to make the Post Season again, so would Dodgers fans feel the same way about Don?

I don't like either of them. I'm not surprised though.

They didn't look that great against Hawaii.

They looked absolutely mortal against a pretty lame Syracuse team.

Tonight, they got their ass deservedly kicked by a Stanford team that couldn't be stopped by a USC defense that is clearly overrated.

Not even frustrating to watch, because I could see this coming from the third quarter on.

I was always wondering why they were ranked no. 1 to begin the season. Just didn't see it.

I don't know why I got so bothered by the loss to Stanford. On top of being generally overrated this year, they've only beaten Stanford once in the last six years. Losing to them is standard. But it still pissed me off. I knew they were going to lose when Kiffin gave up the two-possession game to go for that 4th endzone play. Dumbass.

I know they didn't entirely feel confident on the replacement kicker, but you gotta give the guy a shot at some point. There's a psychological advantage to being up 17-7 instead of 14-7. Also, in the end you're far more motivated to score the TD for the WIN instead of a tie when it's 21-17 instead of 21-14. Meh. But yeah, USC's defense let Stanford kill off 4:00 with just running plays at the end. Was just embarrassing.

On the bright side, that Dodgers comeback was a beauty in the 9th.

This Monte Kiffin's defense still isn't working at the college level, and I understand USC's starting center was out, but the offensive line could've been much better.

Same here, Chargers looked solid today and are 2-0 for the first time since 2006.

Good game by Rivers and Rosario definitely had a huge night filling in for Gates. First 2-0 start for the Eagles since 2004 actually. Just need to stay healthy on the offensive line, losing Dunlap and Kelce will be a big loss if it's extended timewise. While the turnovers are ugly, there is a major difference, the team has been able to drive late in games better than at any point last year.

Will be interesting to see how they do next week against a really tough Falcons offense.

Seems like they are playing more loose and having fun since all the pressure is on Denver this year.

Don't know why anyone would be surprised about Lane Kiffin being outcoached. Ask Raiders or Vols fans. It's happened everywhere he has been.

Never understood why USC, which is one of the premier jobs in the country went with him as head coach. He isn't a good in game coach and he seems like a real jerk as well. He sure can recruit, but who couldn't recruit at USC. Southern California is loaded with talent, and USC is the only major program in the area.

I think if Shaw and Kiffin switched sides for this game, USC wins this game.

How about those Oakland A's......

That Oakland Vs. Baltimore one game playoff, might be the Game of the year.

Oakland has what ? 55mill payroll? With Zero fans showing up to games.
