This is where Lomardi needs to get a lot of credit. He'd brought in guys that already won and a group of guys with a chip on their shoulder.

Then you gotta bring up the Buffalo Bills teams of the 90's

Weren't the Bills basically the reason why the Cowboys have as many titles as they do? lol

Not a Giants fan at all, but you got to hand it to them...first team EVER to win four elimination games in a row on the road.

That's over 120 years of organized baseball.

Oh, by the way...just to repeat myself endlessly...the Los Angeles Kings are the only team in history to lead four different playoff series 3-0 in the same season.*

Yup.

*I mean hockey, but I am hard-pressed to think of where it may have happened anywhere in sports history. If someone knows the answer, please post on this thread. Thanks.

2001 Lakers were close but at that time, the first round was only best-of-five. They swept every series before losing Game 1 in the NBA Finals. But of course, they did sweep the next four games. So in essence, they won each series by having a winning streak in each one.

The 2004 Red Sox were kinda like that. Swept the Angels in the ALDS. Lost the first 3 games in the ALCS, but swept the next four. Swept the Cardinals in the World Series.

The only thing that "tainted" our Stanley Cup run was our mediocre regular season. I wish the haters would shut the hell up about it.

There's gonna be some urgency in the front office after the ****ing Giants just won the Series. Unlike in 2010, when McCourt couldn't do anything but sign that fat**** Uribe.

A California sweep?

49ers have a shot, and so do the Lakers. Following up the Kings and Giants, that would be awesome.

**** the rest of the country. I really don't care about a SF/LA rivalry...not as much as I used to.

Urgency, like signing a starting pitcher which they badly need.

The Dodgers will find their next Kevin Brown, who will get a big contract and a nice paid vacation and skip games due to "blisters."

I don't get how you can be an NBA player, play basketball your entire life, practice every single day and can't even make 50% of your FT's.

Howard should be embarrassed, 3-14? wow.

Pathetic.

0-11 dating back to last season, if you count preseason.

The last champion in Staples Center is locked out.

Jesus, I want my hockey back.

I never understood this either. I don't care how big your hands are, if you practice shooting free throws every day as a professional basketball player, how can you not make at LEAST 50% of those. It's the same freakin' spot every time!

I mean, with the amount he practices, 3-14? LOL. He should be able to PUNT the ball and go 3-14.

Funny coming from a Laker fan. Actually, from any fan since every team has at least one flopper. It's like a soccer fan complaining about your opponent's diving.

Or a Canucks fan complaining about Brown diving.
