As far as another RPG to recommend, if you can look past the blocky graphics and outdated quest log, Morrowind (the 3rd elder scrolls game) is definitely worth checking out. You'd be amazed at how much you'll learn about the world of Nirn in that game (and the leveling system doesn't suck nearly as much as Oblivion's).
Not sure if the guy you're replying to plays on console or PC, but there are tons and tons of mods for Morrowind. A friend of mine told me recently that there are some guys who do an annual graphics update.

This game has been my introduction to the Elder Scrolls series. It took me until my third character to realize I needed to unlock the shouts to use them lol. I was playing in front of my friend and was like I wonder when I'll get to use these other shouts they look pretty cool! He just looked at me in disbelief. I have bad eyesight so I didn't really notice the square at the bottom that said "unlock".

I've really been enjoying this game since I got it my biggest problem though is that the main quest line is too short also I freakin' hate Dwemer ruins. My favorite toons so far have been a sneaking archer thief combo and destro/resto mage. I thought two handed warrior was way OP, fun but not really a challenge. Any other combos I should look into?

OK, that was totally a lie too. Just pay the bounty or if you can't, go to jail and be bored or break out. To be honest I've never been arrested as I'm not a thief and if I get a bounty I just kill all the witnesses, I'm just offering advice based on heresay really

edit: and the reason the guard attacked you was you accidentally hit him during the fight with the dragon. It's ****ing annoying but it happens sometimes. Actually, if the bounty is 1000 that means you killed someone... ****ing murderer! The police are on their way. Surrender yourself at the tree in Edmonton
Yea that guard that attacked me, he had it coming. Ad if the rest of Riften has a problem with it then JUST BRING IT!

If you're in the middle of doing a mission then it's probably best to just run away after saying, " you'll never take me alive! " or w/e speech option it is.
But won't waiting in prison lower my stats like in Oblivion?

My first game I sacrificed Farendal. For some reason it gave me a bounty, even though there were no (mortal) witnesses.

Haven't done it yet in my current game.

There's a temple of Mara in Riften. You get an Amulet of Mara from there (or if you find one in a chest/whereever), put it on, then go talk to a female/male person that likes you. They'll make mention of the amulet and ask if you're married.

Just make sure you pick up some extra stamina potion before the wedding night.

I still love heading to Blackreach. Such a great location. Even comes with it's own dragon.

I honestly wanted to sign up with the Empire but when I realized they were just going to be pushovers forever, I couldn't do it. Don't like the fact that Stormcloaks are incredibly xenophobic, but when they were all for kicking the Thalmor's ***** out of Skyrim I couldn't say no.

Was weird because I played as a Redguard (and looked incredibly Persian) but whatever... suck it, Tulius.

EDIT: I make it a point to decapitate all those poor ******* stationed at Imperial Camps. Dual Wielding Decapitations >>>>>>>>>>>>

Not sure what you mean by the empire will be pushovers forever
Spoil:
The biggest pushover was the emperor himself and you get to murder him for the last quest with the dark brotherhood. He was the reason the white gold concordat was signed in the first place.

Yeah, I do remember beheading him very grotesquely on his boat.

He was the reason the treaty was signed but part of the original treaty was giving up a portion of Hammerfell (where Redguards are from) to the Aldmeri Dominion. When Hammerfell basically said "**** off", the Empire declared us no longer an Imperial Territory and Hammerfell had to fight the Dominion itself and force them to sign another treaty (Second Treaty of Stros M'ka) which made them leave the province for good. The Empire basically stabbed us () in the back and now Hammerfell is an independent province. So in a way, you had enough precedent to know that the Empire was never going to do anything to upset the Aldmeri Supremacists.

Considering how the previous line of "true" Emperors were dragonborn, I don't think it is too far fetched to think that the dragonborn player character from Skyrim will eventually end up being crowned emperor after all the DLCs are out, just like how the player character from Oblivion became the new Sheogorath.

I'd honestly rather have that as an Expansion Pack (sounds similar to Shivering Isles) so we know Bethesda will do it right versus a 1-2 hour DLC that won't flesh out anything.

An expansion would almost certainly be a DLC.

In a month or two, when you're done with both games, you'll come out a more complete person to be honest.

Good luck Skyrimming!

BTW, can someone embed this? You won't be sorry.
