J. Schultz from Anaheim still remains unsigned........I would trade Gagner for rights to Schultz and Devante Smith-Pelley. If you sign Schultz then it is a homerun. If not, Smith-Pelley is a good consolation prize.

Draft Grigorenko then next year:
Smith-Pelley/RNH/Eberle
Hall/Grigorenko/Hemsky
Add more size, skill and toughness in our top 6
I highly doubt Anaheim even does Smith Pelley for Gagner.
Bulin's deal is up and Dubnyk is not a starter. The Van Canucks are stacked in goal. Cory Schnieder (1st rounder) has better stats then Loungo and hes played allot of games.
So the trade would be *Eberle and Dubnyk for Cory Schnieder and Eddy Lack.
*Hall
*Smid, Gagner
*next years 1st pick
*RNH
Eddy Lack
2008-09: Lack appeared in 32 of 45 games for first-place Leksands in Sweden's Allsvenskan (second league). His 2.02 GAA was the league's second-best and he finished with a .930 save percentage and 4 shutouts.
2010-11: Lack appeared in 53 games for the Manitoba Moose and was named to the AHL's All-Rookie Team in his first pro season in North America. Lack was 28-25 with four of those losses coming in overtime and had 5 shutouts with a 2.26 GAA and .926 save percentage.

How about signing Schneider to an offer sheet instead?

Run for the hills buddy. That is ****ing awful.
I'd give the Canucks; 2013 1st and Gagner for Schneider though.
cant expect us to be a ton better next year, could easily be a top-10 pick, even at 10 thats way overpayment
Schneider could become a top tier #1 goalie. We need that. Doesn't matter if it's an overpayment. And I can't expect us being that bad with a goalie like Schneider.
Schnieder won the Jennings with Loungo last year. Schnieder is a starting goaltender. Plus you get Lack.
Gagner is not an impact player.
Anyway, I don't want to kick the nest here... I gave the option of the 2013 1st pick and or Smid. I live in Edm, I see most of the games and I don't think Dubnyk is ever gonna be a starter.
What would you give us for Schnieder ?
Peace out

Halak was more accomplished at the time of his trade than Schneider is now. If you're expecting a lot than what he brought back, you're setting yourself up for a big disappointment.
P.S. You're not getting an impact player back for Schneider. I'm not trying to knock the player -- I think he's a good goalie. I'm just trying to give you a more realistic idea of his trade value.
