For all of you asking, its a new @CCMHockey stick. Ask Varly how he feels about it...he's not a big fan #camo #goalieproblems
How long before Brodeur complains? Don't we play them soon?

I noticed that when looking over the boxscore. This will be the first season in a long time that Hejduk won't score 20 goals. You have to think there is a very real possibility that this will be his last season.

I don't like the all while hockey stick. I think his teammates will have a hard time finding him for the pass.

Duchene needs to get pucks to the net. Those spin moves are great, but he uses them to get to the corner and the perimeter. Forsberg used them to get to the front of the net. So frustrating watching him sometimes. He looked much better at center last night, but he consistently seems to be the last guy back defending on his line. Mueller doesn't have the conditioning or the skating ability to play a 200 foot game, and Connelly is way too small to be defending the front of the net or the corners. That is why Hejduk worked so well with Duchene, he covers for him defensively. As poor as Hejduk has been, I'd like to see him back with Duchene.

FYI, Varly and Giggy are going to be on Xfinity live on CBS 4 tonight at 630. That should be interesting. Landy and O'Reilly were on a few weeks back.

I didn't like it for aesthetic purposes, but now you mention that... interesting. Anyone who plays/ed hockey have any input on this?

I usually don't aim at the persons blade. It is like passing a football, Brady isn't aiming at the guys hands because they are always in motion. If it is a tap in goal, or a point blank pass they should be close enough that they can see it easy enough.

It looks cool, but I have always played with black tape. I actually can't stand playing with white tape. If I do, I have to mark it up like EJ or Kane do. Not sure why, just don't like it.

I would imagine it would be a nightmare for goalies if a guy like Sakic or Gaborik had that stick. They have quick releases as it is, and they would probably pick it up even later.

It was a good game all around for our guys.

1) Duchene still trying to do too much. Need Olver on his line with Mueller and move Connolly to RoR's line if Steve is still hurt. McG - Staz - Jones line as is.

2) I'm glad to see Hedgie moved to 4th line, it had to be done. The guy is playing poorly, he may be my favorite player all time on the Avs but it is what it is.

3) We play much better on the road then at home, so frustrating.

Please tell me people are watching Varly and Giggy on CBS right now. Varly is a lot better with his English, but he's still pretty uncomfortable. They asked him if last night was a "must win", and he replied by saying "Giggy said before the game we need two points, so we went and got it."

No idea where to put this, but the Avs appear poised to have the lowest number of PPO (power play opportunities) since the 79-80 season.

It's pretty crazy that we are still in the play off hunt with not only the cheapest/youngest team but also getting the least pp. had to say something about the talent we have on this team.

I'm a goalie, and if you stick white paint on that thing, it'll be real hard to judge where the puck is goin i think. sounds great!
