AWESOME GDT... looks real good. You can take TJ Brennan off the injury report - he got healthy and was reassigned to Rochester where he's playing now for the Amerks. Just Regehr with McCormick and Hecht.

No doubt that the law of Buffalo averages, as I labeled it on our boards, dictates a Jets victory here. This surge we've been on is unfathomable and tough to imagine continuing without a pothole incurred at all. This will be a huge pothole for us, though.

from our GDT:

Jets 4-2

Boyes, Godson

Kane (2), Little, Ladd

He's also known as "the Sports Guy" on ESPN prior to Grantland pretty much. Good stuff.

yes, although leino scored 2 nice goals in the first 5 minutes agaist the best team in the league 2 nights ago, so if he decideds to turn up the heat for this playoffs push and get 10 points in the next ten games, then his 4.5 hit with only 30 pts is a little misleading, yet thats a big if, and still a bad season, but IF it does happen, sabre fans will forget about the stats

Jets need this game to help overcome the 4 points squandered against CBJ and EDM this season.

This is a must win.

Huge 4 point game essentially

The Jets win will this. This is our house.

Watch Buffalo fold like a cheap and poorly constructed tent.

Yet another awesome GDT. Something in there is always good for a laugh. Every game is huge now. Too bad about Bogo, we need him back sooner than later. I am curious to see how Clitsome looks. (It is hard to type his name and not have other meanings pop into your head. )

I don't know every once in a while you are going to have an off night and these games stick in my craw as well but not even close to dropping 3 of 4 to the brutal Habs and we no showed 2 of those games.

on balance though its going to happen over an 82 game schedule.

One of the moderators should explain the "Gil Morgan" picture for the Sabre visitors ;-) Welcome all.

I think that's a great on-going joke BTW. Very, funny ..... You should see if you can work the "Schticky" in there some day...

I've got a complete "Schticky" custom one ready for the Canucks.

Sabres fans: not sure you guys get the Boston Pizza commercial aired on TSN-JETS down there, but it's about BP's wings and a "renowned" wing critic. Thought it appropriate for the birthplace of the Buffalo Wing (num num nom nom! )

Can't wait til puck drop!

No Bogo really hurts, but it's time to see what Clitsome brings to the table. I am expecting nothing less than these two teams best tonight.

What does everyone think: 7D? Clitsome or Flood, and 6D? Would like to see Clitsome play, but this is a huge game with a bunch of pressure for a guy new to the line-up.

I would like to see Clitsome in the lineup. They will all be big games from here on out, and we need to see what he can do. 7D might not be a bad idea, but Noel does like to go with 4 complete lines. Personally I would play it safe and go with the extra D.

Gilmer Bryan Morgan II, OD (born September 25, 1946) is an American professional golfer.Although he won only seven events on the PGA Tour between 1977 and 1990 and didn't win a major until the Senior Tour, he was one of the most consistent top five finishers on the Tour during this period. His swing was often criticized for his "flying elbow" which some thought resembled a chicken wing--thus the reference in the ad.

Just another BRILLIANT GDT! Love the Noel picture with the wing.

So excited for this one! Should be a fantastic game, playoff like attitude from both teams. This is what it's all about right here, two teams chasing a playoff spot, both playing hot going head to head when it matters most.

I really don't like having Bogosian out, he is such an anchor back there, our best all around defenseman in my books. However, we have played enough without him recently that there should not be too many effects from it. I am really looking forward to seeing Clitsome, I think he's going to bring a nice physical/feisty presence to our blueline.

Although this has become a game-to-game trend and one we're all more than used to by now, but I think Blake Wheeler will be an absolute beast tonight.

Let's do it, Jets!

Last GDT against the Panthers, I called for a 7-2 blowout with Wheeler getting four points. The actual result was 7-0 with Kane getting the four points. This one will be much different with Ryan Miller playing the way he is. 3-2 SO/OT. Winnipeg winning. Enstrom and Glass. Little with the winner should it end it OT. Anyways, Go Jets Go!!!

Agreed.

It's tough to say what Noel will do. If he had a decent 3rd line, I would guess he would probably roll 4 lines.

But if his choice is an extra D over a guy like Mittens........

Taking my GF to the game tonight. So excited, i have a feeling my productivity for the next 8hours will be minimal.

I'm going to get exhausted from all of these high stress "must win" games, i don't know if i can handle another month of it!

I think we've got a good chance to walk away with another big win (as most have stated, buffalo's due for a loss).

Final thoughts: great GDT and I'm forecasting jets 4-2

Nice GDT. Finally seeing what the guy in the commercial was saying ('Gil Morgan') inspired me to Google just what the heck he was talking about.

On to hockey: there seems to be a lot of expectation that the Sabres will have their hiccup tonight after a great run. I'm not so sure. We've had a penchant for following big wins with some truly steamer losses.

Beat Carolina 5-3, follow it up with a 2-1 loss to the Rangers. Win a wild one in Philly by 9-8, lose 1-0 in Tampa. 3-0 win over the Isles and a 3-2 loss to the Devils two days later. 4-0 over the Habs followed by a 4-1 loss to the Pens. Blow out the Avalanche 5-1, lose to the Flyers 5-4.

My head is calling for a Jets win tonight but my gut says otherwise. I'm not happy 'bout it, but it's too early to start putting back Fan Brews...

Ryan Miller had the unfortunate distinction of being the most dejected looking person I had ever seen back in the 04-05 AHL playoffs when the crowd absolutely destroyed him during game 5 of the Moose's 4-1 series win over the Rochester Americans..

Even if I'm not at this game I greatly look forward to hearing the MIIII-LER chants on the TV..

Just such a great name to heckle

If about 100 things go right today I might go to the game with my mom, who's visiting from Alberta. She's a Habs fan so I'm attempting a convert because her Habs are falling out of the race.

Looking at the Buffalo roster, you really have to take this team seriously. They have a lot more talent than their record indicates.

Absolutely. I feel foolish saying this, but the Buffalo Sabres were honestly the team I picked to possibly win the cup this year. I figured they had the world class goaltending, very solid defence and a potent enough offense. I felt after their second half surge last season in which they were one of the best teams in the entire league, combined with their offseason acquisitions, that they would possibly be a force.

I think the main thing to remember about the Sabres right now, is this is still relatively the same team (minus Gaustad) that was indeed picked to be a very good team this season. Why they were not, who knows, why they seem to be coming along now, who knows.

Buffalo and Tampa Bay are two teams to keep a real close eye on. In an absolute perfect world, we can overtake Florida for 3rd overall and the division, leaving the other teams in a battle for the 8th and final playoff spot.
