suspended yes, but 25-30 games? your getting a little carried away

Briere is a joke. It's about time people called him out for what he is, a 6.5 million regular season floater. The guy has been good in the playoffs, but has also had really good linemates every season he has been here. Seriously, the guy gets paid 6.5 million ****ing dollars to put up 50 points in the regular season, play horrid 2-way hockey, and then show up in the playoffs? And then he has the audacity to call out a guy that is also struggling, but who is at least battling to get back to form? Briere should just take a seat and ****. I hope to God that the Flyers can somehow trade the guy this offseason to clear up space for the young guys or for a free agent who will do his job for 1/3 of the pay. Don't give a damn about his personal life. If he feels it is affecting him, he should just bench himself.

If Kronwall rides him into the boards, the puck gets out of the zone most likely. Kronwall made the right play. If Voracek wasnt leaning forward, then nobody is complaining. You cant penalize a play for something that Voracek did.

Full speed?!

Seriously man?

There was almost zero speed from Kronwall
Yes, you can. The onus is on the hitter not to do damage when a player is in a vulnerable position.

Mark Howe retirement was great

Nice to see Gordie, the whole family there. Only the 5th flyer jersey retired. Couldn't have gone to a better player or guy. He was a huge steal from Hartford after that Grimm injury. But man, he was golden for us, for 11 years. Then on to Detroit for another chance at the cup. Multi Norris wins, and teaming up with the beast, was a great pairing. Was funny tonite, only mild boos when Detroit was mentioned, and the building erupted when he mentioned the beast. Tonight's game was good, well 2 periods were. Hope jrag and voracek are back soon. Hats off to bryz for winning it for us.

Cooke got 17 for his hit on McDonaugh, so 10-15 seems reasonable.

What's more important? The puck leaving the zone or the safety of a player with his head down?

Kronwall should get one L scratched from his last name by Shanny

Oh, really? Since when?

Think you should read rule #48 again:

48.1 Illegal Check to the Head – A hit resulting in contact with an opponent's head where the head is targeted and the principal point of contact is not permitted. However, in determining whether such a hit should have been permitted, the circumstances of the hit, including whether the opponent put himself in a vulnerable position immediately prior to or simultaneously with the hit or the head contact on an otherwise legal body check was avoidable, can be considered.

Voracek made himself vulnerable, Kronwall couldnt do anything about it.

It's pretty black and white to me.

IMMEDIATELY PRIOR. Voracek didn't move immediately prior to put his head in a more vulnerable position.

Pretty obvious he targets the head. With all the Sid news I hope they take this out of Shannys hands and suspend this puke. Once he gets a rep he will have to smarten up.

Any hockey player understands that you step up on your man if he has his head down at the blue line.

Again, the irony...it's quite entertaining

Very good game. Bryz is on a roll and playing very well. Jake was at fault to a point. You have to be aware when you are along the boards. I thought the hit was clean except that he caught Jake's head. That is my issue there. I do not know what to say about Danny. He needs to show up and at least help the team. Right now all he is doing is collecting a pay check sad. Grossmann is really playing well.

There's going to be some pissed off people around here when Kronwall doesn't even get a phone call.

hi all, I was at the game. Great ceremony, congrats mark howe. Great win 3 in a row.

Zetterberg taht first goal was flat amazing.

I had my DVR record the game and CSN had the ceremony. I have no clue if FS DETROIT showed the ceremony.

Flyers need 15 pts to clinch a playoff berth.

That is for very sudden head or body movements that can't be reacted to. Kronwall had plenty of time to notice Voracek's head was down and still "Kronwall'd" him
