No FSSW, best way to see Stars games?

Hello,

As of today I've decided to drop my At&t Uverse subscription and simply go with over the air and netflix/hulu streaming for my TV watching. I was basically paying for a Uverse subscription just to watch FSSW and really nothing else. I realize that only the TXA21 games are available over-the-air to watch but was wondering about a few other methods.

Does anyone use NHL gamecenter to watch Stars games? Are Stars games typically available? Its late in the season so I figure this may be an option for next year.

Although a bit sketchy, I guess there usually seems to be some bootleg internet stream available. I guess my question is what do all you non-cable-having Stars fans do to watch the games?

If you live in the Metroplex or ANY of the surrounding areas, you won't be able to use GameCenter. I have no idea how big the Stars regional area is but I know it stretches at least as far east as Tyler (Longview you can get it though so somewhere between Longview and Tyler is the cut off). No idea how far West it stretches (or north/south for that matter).

As FF said, most just find a stream. FirstRowSports.eu has had streams up all season, and if not, usually someone will post in one in the game thread around game time.

I live in California, so I use NHL GameCenter.

It's definitely worth it. I can see all Stars games in HD and don't have to use crappy streams.

But, as Lobo said, it's a complete waste if you're in the Dallas area because all the Stars games will be blacked out.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that about gamecenter. Yeah I live in the Mid-Cities area so gamecenter isn't going to be an option.

Also there is a way to use gamecenter for local games, but it is a bit of a hassle and requires paying for your own VPN service, as well as buying a new router.

If it wasn't for sports I'd consider doing this. I have to find a stream when they are on TXA, and the quality of streams is bad. Blurry and Choppy. Especially bad for hockey considering a puck is involved. And I hate watching anything on a computer anyway other than short clips. Plus late starts you aren't likely to be able to see the game until early games are over.
