One day guys will understand that hating on gays doesn't make them look tough. Smoking doesn't make them look tough. Wearing saggy pants and do-rags doesn't make them look tough. Wearing jewelry, tattoos, piercings, etc., doesn't make them look tough.
Lots of guys do these things because they enjoy it. Lots do it because they think people will respect them if they do. That's pretty dumb.
Hating on gays really doesn't have a purpose. If you have hidden gay thoughts and you don't want others to find out, that's fine, but if you try to hide it by being openly anti-gay then you only come off as suspicious. People are smart enough now to know that if you crusade tirelessly against gays for no apparent reason, you might be hiding something. I think rather than disliking gays being natural, the natural thing is the male's desire to distinguish himself from other males to be attractive to females, by being as masculine as possible. There are two ways to do this - pretend you have all the masculine traits you don't really have, and rip on people who don't appear to have those traits (ie, gays) to make them contrast against you and make yourself look good. In the end, you're just being a fake. This whole anti-gay thing is just collective douchebaggery on a societal level.
This is the same reason why some idiots are actually saying that masturbating is a crime and only sick anti-god people do it. For example, if you look it up, you'll find fatwas saying that masturbation is a crime against islam. If you're ashamed you're doing something, rip on other people who do it to make yourself look innocent.
I couldn't be happier with this movement. Major kudos to Brain and Patrick Burke for coming forward and continuing the dream of the late Brendan Burke. In my opinion, it is a complete shame that we haven't been able to accept LGTB rights. I hope that this campaign helps improve the awareness in hockey but as well as everyday life. It is a fantastic mission and everyone involved has my full support.
Simply put homosexuality is not natural because we were not made to enter a rectum, male or female, or have objects inserted into us. There's this whole thing with blood and feces and broken tissue etc.etc. And then to put that in your mouth? Not smart. Also it's actually harmful to ingest vaginal fluids (sorry folks).
I do feel man was "made" to love woman and her body, especially being inside her yanni which fits the man perfectly together. The greatest joy I've ever witnessed is between a husband and wife. They create human life, and I wish that happiness upon all my family and friends. Is that reason enough?
My mention of "the field" (not the force!) is a term from the researcher Lynn Mctaggart (What the bleep do we know) about our concept of spirituality and science merging in the 21st century. Science is now proving the esoteric teachings of ancient mystics. We can test how even thoughts effect the ether. Bro there is a human conscience and subconscious that we cannot escape. There are laws of the universe and thus order among people. We are a microcsm of the universe. It's nothing to be afraid of-the laws of nature.
In history the Greeks were assimilated as Rome took over power in the region. The Romans were "sacked" and broken down by the likes of the Visgoths or Vandals. But the Roman Catholic Church had already spread to other lands and eventually owned half the world. The Vatican was the capital of this empire. Greco-Roman philosophy and science was revived in the renaissance, but it never really died, it has been propagated by the church for 1700 years, through dark ages and the age of enlightenment. This force has left a strong impression in our government, universities, places of worship, let alone our psyche. Yes I blame a lot of our problems on Greco Roman ideology. Yes- there is a strange tie between the crimes of pedophilia, homosexuality, and the catholic church/universities and such fraternal organizations. I am not alone in sensing that there is a very demonic, wicked origin to the different connections between homosexuality and occult rituals. From Young blood, to Bohemia Grove, Skull and Bones, to Holly Wood. It has satanic associations. Alex Jones will back me up on that one!
Human biochemistry can vary greatly and some people are imbalanced or "different." Some men have effeminate voices and some women have huge amounts of testosterone. Hermaphroditism is another rare occurrence of nature. That's all cool but what does it have to do with bondage outfits and blow up dolls at a parade? The movement is about gaining acceptance of " gay sex." If it was simply a matter of love there would be no debate. I love my friends and brothers.
The whole thing looks twisted to the average (world) citizen and is self defeating if the goal is respect.. You've got to deal with the fact that in general this a conservative world. You can't just laugh off the traditions that we ended up with. Please listen to those who have something to say. Anyone who is intolerant to another opinion is a bigot.
In my experience of "gay" peoples there is always a sadness lingering around them. Or may be a cry for help. i have seen a lot of drama associated with these unions. I guess the unhappiness would be my main argument for a child to beware of that "lifestyle". I do feel pity for those who struggle with their identity because it hurts us all to see them in such pain, like a teenager. You have folks who are in conflict with the world and themselves, their families too usually. You have people that seem very lost, without purpose, empty. That is what I've seen. I don't claim to be "the Judge." I'm just expressing my look at life and people.
This topic is a serious reality today. EVERY popular media outlet from cable to the radio has some aspect of this discussion in their program. We have to talk about it. The hate crimes must stop because that is not the answer to our misunderstandings. We need compassion and reason. Thanks for hearing me out.
Honestly when someone is this homophobic I often suspect that it is because they are trying hide there own latent homosexual feelings. Even if it is from themselves.
An awesome campaign, shame it didn't take place 5 years ago or so for selfish reasons.

It's a lost cause spending energy making the world accept something so unnatural and foreign to our biology as homosexuality. It's never going to happen in the NHL, local communities, or the earth, because it makes no sense. You're fighting the flow of electricity, yin and yang, the positive and negative that charges the entire universe. Opposites attract, remember?
It doesn't take a history professor to sight that homosexuality is outlawed by almost all world cultures and especially religions. Buddism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Seik,etc. Should I go ahead and name every known religion? Or nation for that matter? It is just a basic human law, like not having sex with a parent. There are two groups who did practice hs openly and with children: The Greeks and Romans! Two doomed civilizations that eroded in immorality and strife. Sadly their influence still has a strong bearing on our (western) culture today.
To argue for the "rights" of those that practice anal and oral sex and use plastic toys for pleasure and form a political movement because of it is ridiculous. And you call it a lifestyle? How does that compare to true human rights, to not be judged by race, sex, or religion? It's a mockery. I have compassion for drug addicts, thieves, even murders. They are ill. But thy don't create a flag and banner and get up in your face in every quarter of popular culture to demand your respect and congratulations for their UNHEALTHY behavior.
Why do I care what other people do? Because I love life and people and we have to share this planet. Homosexuality is an effect of the imbalances in society and nature right now. There is so much inequality and suffering, so many disturbances to the "field." Economically. Physically. Spiritually. Mentally. Why can't men and women love each other in this time? Every single person I've met who is "gay" is not healthy or balanced. These are ones who need attention and therapy to find who they are and what their purpose is. We stray so far from nature and the simple truths. We will be the ones to change the world and pass down knowledge and wisdom to the next generations. We have to approach our problems with honesty to find solutions and move on.
My teaching is that as a man if you don't have the attraction to females then just hold your meditation and stay clean. Native Americans have traditions where those who were not the family type were put into positions of healing and counseling as "shamans." I am saying if your gifted by not being so average chemically why indulge in useless carnal activity that is deemed a "mortal sin" by so many of our elders? Stay clean and let's go for a skate, man!

I knew about Rekers but I never read into detail about everything going down, I just dismissed it as another case of closet homosexuals (Mr. Bachmann-wink-wink-) trying to make sense of their feelings and failing miserably because their bible is all they have in their life. Of course if the bible is wrong their whole life was just a giant waste of time, and who wants to admit that, right?
