Im looking at center ice in 201- or around the area. Nothing to close.
Top two rows is $600 per ticket plus the PSL of $50 per year (PSL paid off after 5 years). These are the ones that I have and I love them as you can really see the entire ice. I am right off the blue line in section 204. The wife and I actually received tickets in the lower bowl and we both said that we would rather be in our normal seats but that is just our preference. Also it was nice as every game that I could not attend, I was able to sell the tickets without losing any money. Figure they go for $58 on Ticket Master after fees and the STH pricing is only $13.37 per game.
My advice on buying PSLs, if you have the stomach to wait it out: Wait until the week before STHs who are not renewing lose their PSLs. Put an ad on Craigslist soliciting that you want to buy a pair of PSLs. Watch the offers roll in, then stick to your guns about what you will spend. Remember, these people are going to LOSE THIS MONEY so anything at the last minute is better than nothing. That's what I did 6 years ago, and I got 2 $750 PSLs for $250 each. AND the seller paid the $100 transfer fee. He was so happy somebody was giving him money.
Really don't understand how they can still in good conscience charge PSL's at all.
I think the number of STH's would be significantly higher without PSL's. While the artificially kept things up for a while they effect is now reversed until people are confident the team is headed in the right direction.

In general, or just right now? Personally, I'm always opposed to PSL money being collected on a publicly-funded venue that doesn't go to defray the construction costs. Of course, that's 99% of venues.

Post Arena buy-out. It was one thing when the Arena was privately funded--had to defray added costs of taxable finance. Now? Serves no purpose.

Kind of a silly statement, when all you have to say is "I don't want to pay for a PSL" and you don't pay for a PSL. Did it this year. They didn't even blink an eye. The PSL is not what is keeping the market depressed.
Having said that, it would be nice if they got rid of PSL's.

I agree..., and I'll bet you THEY agree too.
Problem is, if you just 'drop it' then you will piss off all those who paid it for years thinking it actually MEANT something. So to drop it, they'd have to come up with some form of gratuitous compensation... like a ticket discount for every year you paid yours.
Has anyone received their STH renewal packet as of yet? Seems kind of late. Are the CBJ delaying sending them out because they are afraid of the mass cancellations that will probably ensue?

I was told that they would be sent via email today. I noticed that the renewal is listed on my account as of this morning. Nice to see my pricing actuall decreased this year.
jag72 - What section are you in. My prices stayed the same. I also emailed my ticket rep to see why the invoices are in my ticketmaster account and I haven't seen anything from them about renewal......of course.....no response.

I have the cheap seats, top two row plan (section 204). I don't mind sitting so high as I almost center ice and have a great view. I don't think I would be as happy with them if I was behind a goal but I was lucky to get in early and have a pick of the best seats out there.
Offering me a 5% discount, all-star tickets purchase, four free tickets to either Cedar Point, Zoombezi Bay, or a Reds game. Same prize give away as last year as well.
