This THOR (Nilsson) is not the first in ISLES History

Does anyone remember that Nystrom's nickname was Thor also?

For a second I thought this thread was going to be about Tommy Salo.

Thor was not from any country. He was the Norse god of thunder and resided in Asgard with the other gods. He was worshipped throughout all of Scandinavia and Iceland and today there are many remains of his worship that lives on in place names. Obviously the name itself is still a common name here.

I would prefer Nilsson be called......Anders The Giant.........The Guy is a Monster and is clearly the goalie that will be our future which is not that far away.......He will be our playoff goalie for years to come.

Nilsson is part of the core we are building

JT, Strome, Lee, Hamonic, Mayfield, Nilsson

I think it was his first name, wasn't it? Wasn't his full name Thor Robert Nystrom? I seem to remember that from the media guides I memorized back when I was a kid!

If the Rags win the cup, I am going to have to change my Email address! Every year I sweat a little until they are eliminated.

In my eyes they still haven't won since 1940. They bought the cup in 94'.

OT: crappie movie. another one of those "lets make a legend look like brad pitt" type movies. Who would buy thor being such a softie? Or achilles for that matter?

The whole world is looking anglo-saxon through the hollywood glasses...what would be wrong about making a thor movie in norwegian?

What i always notice about nilsson is the size of his pads. I think he should be called humpback whale
