Frustrating game in our defensive end all night. We lost the individual battles. Bad night overall. No ground lost to the Wings or Hawks ... two points lost to the Blues. We still have a game in hand on the Central teams ahead of us.
All the negatives have been touched on, so here's some positives:
2 more pts for AK
Over 22 mins TOI for Josi
Sellout #18 (I think)
It ranks as one of the worst played games of the year, and we only lost to the stout Kings by one.

I like how you think I'm more of a half empty kind of person right now but I rather drink a half glass of vodka right now. So thanks
Puck possession still seems to be an issue. We're getting away from what is working for us. Too many soft dump ins that led to quick clears. Either skate it in, or blast it in.
Everyone seemed a bit off. We need to regroup and focus. Points are critical at this juncture. Just forcing overtime would've gained us ground on Detroit.
We need to play like a team that wants to storm into the playoffs...not a team waiting for the playoffs to happen.
Man, what a missed opportunity to pick up points on Detroit tonight and keep pace with STL.
Games like this make me worry about how far we can go in the playoffs. LA should not be scoring 5 goals on us. Lack of effort is all you can surmise.
This. Some guys who usually don't have bad games had bad games tonight and that obviously hurt but there was a lack of "want" from quite a few guys tonight. Not everybody mind you but a good portion.
It seems our coaching stuff is very ****ing slow to pick up what the **** is going on out there. Weber and Suter stunk as year worn socks and still play 27 min. WTF???
Smith been irrelevant on PP for quiet a while still played in front of AK.
Weber and Suter get full two minutes on PP even when it clearly they can't do **** tonight.
And on top Tootoo will get suspention for punching ref in the back.

You can add high scoring game to that too. Not bad for an "offense challenged" team Sadly I'm more worried about the defense on this team right now than offense. I would think it would be the other way around. Hopefully the next game is better overall for the whole team and just taking so much time off hurt the Preds tonight. On to the next game.

We are not offense challenged.
We have 11 guy with 10, six with at least 15.
We are very balanced lineup.
We should do very good in PO if our TriStar will start playing like they must.
With Toots getting the misconduct, expect him to miss the next ten games based on the abusing officials rule. The plus side is that we can get Halischuk back into the lineup. Smith is off lately. He needs a game in the press box. Maybe Bourque on the 3rd line next game with Halischuk and Yip as the wingers on the 4th against the Avs. We'll see.
Sorry ... I should have started drinking heavily earlier. My bad.

I know. I was just joking. I'm just meaning the talk you hear about the Preds being just one piece missing of a scorer to put them over the top as far as in the playoffs. But lately, imo it's the defense side that is lacking now. I'm more worried about that than the offense. The Predator's offense is good imo but could still use improvements or be better but I think I'm more worried about the defense than the offense at this point.
I saw the fighting spirit on the offensive side. The defensive side looked completely uninterested.
Well, we were a lucky bounce or a slightly better aimed Mike Fisher shot away from this being a tie. So when our defense and goal tending were suspect we actually found a way to stay in the game with offense. Great jobs by some of the forwards tonight, just some bad bounces and bad plays on the back-end cost us this one.
On to Thursday! Gotta be the Avs after they are putting a whooping on the Wild.
Wow, this game had it all. Kings deserved the win.
Preds uninspired, lazy play the majority of the night. Worst on ice was Weber, by far. Suter looked like ass quite a lot, too. Rinne very pedestrian behind lacadaisical defensive work. Faceoffs = garbage. Powerplay = abysmal.
Zebras with a poor showing, negatively impacting the game roughly twice as often as usual; culminating in a coward's act sure to be glossed over as "unintentional".
Preds play indicates they're coasting towards another one and done. Overall not worth the price of admission tonight.

Bourque was late into the zone on Doughty's goal. The forwards were absent on the Kings' 4th goal. We looked ok on one end of the ice, and like crap on the other.
