Would you rather...

Play meaningful games in the AHL at this time of year or play for the Oilers.

The reason I ask, Mark Spector mentioned that Magnus Paajarvi wants to stay in OKC for the remainder of the year. With OKC being the second best team in the AHL, and you were making the same amount either way, would you rather play meaningful games in the AHL and make a Calder Cup run or be in the big show playing on a team struggling to make decent line changes?

I'm sure a guy like Paajarvi would rather be in OKC, but a fringe player that isn't a top prospect would much rather be on the Oilers so he can make a statement. Paajarvi is probably rattled by the crap he's been through up there and he'd much rather actually be playing than watching. Someone like, Josh Green, I'm sure he'd rather be up than down.

Prv wants to play where he can develop his games the best. Being on a winning team is probably a lot of fun for him given what he's played through here.

if Prv legitimately would rather be there playing and developing in the AHL playoffs rather than easy money NHL and fun WHC i legitimately have a man crush on him.

to be able to see the big picture like that while youre in it, is amazing intellect and maturity.

i would bet he would rather be playing wing with nuge and eberle but since his options are horcoff and belanger he is making the right choice imo

It sorta' says a lot about just how weak and laughable the Oilers are.

Spector didn't say that, he said that he (Spector) wants to see PRV in OKC for the rest of the year. Spector also said that PRV would rather play in OKC than go to the world championships in Sweden.

I'd much rather play in the playoffs with a championship contender than play out the year with the Oilers. It'd be better for my development and would be a lot of fun. Magnus is smart to want this, if he did. I think every eligible player should be sent down. I don't know what the other top teams' NHL affiliations are, but the non-playoff NHL teams' farm teams would have to be favourites to win the championship. We'd have a great chance for a long playoff run. Who doesn't want that?
