Jesus, I like watching all of our top 6 play, but 5 out of 6 of them are smurfs. I hope all of them join Ebs and go to Gary Roberts school this offseason. Maybe they can take Petry with them, guy would be an absolute stud with an extra 10-15 lbs of muscle.

It's been said that management has told Petry to put on more weight. And it's showing with his increased physicality being evident on the ice.
He was around 185 when he was in the AHL. I think he's hovering around 200 pounds now this season.
He's been listed at 200lbs. or 205lbs. for awhile, I always hoped that he'd get up to 215lbs. or so.
Yeah, I was thinking he should be good to go at 215 as well. He's 6'3 right now so it's a pretty good size and I've never seen him so strong on the puck the past few months. Isn't that Smid's size as well? Smid is around 6'3 215 as well iirc.
I think too many people here are buying Stauffer's cool aid about the refs
calls are down across the NHL over the past few weeks and most fans have noticed this--however only one fan base is kicking up a storm
Haven't listened to Stauffer in a long time, but I've been one kicking up a storm. I go by what I see, not other people's opinions, and the Oilers have been shafted as of late. It may just be that it hits us harder than most (weak 5v5 scoring, 5v4 was where we were picking up a lot of our goals)
Not a lot of optimism for this game coming. 5-2 Sharks
edit: Can't find Thor Nelson in the list. Did he get let go?

I think that Smid is actually more like 225lbs. I completely agree though, Petry has really come into his own physically of late.

My problem is that the calls are continuing against the oilers, and they're usually pretty weak.
Smyth getting 5 and a game for something that's been 2 mins all year. Hemsky getting 5 and a game for a knee that wasn't his fault, then no call of the sort when it happens to our guy with intent.
Then blatant stuff like Nuge getting hooked or whacked on his hands with a wide open net a game or two ago not being called. As well as Hall and Eberle getting piggybacked or TACKLED and no call.
I understand that refs make mistakes, but some stuff that has been going on during games is so ridiculous you can't ignore it.
And then the reffing actually gets worse when our players/coaches complain about it? That's not good.
