I don't count on knowing the lineup until game night like yesterday. Didn't know if Omark was in our out until puck drop.

What pissed me off this time is that it was warm enough to be melting all day and then froze at night. I'd take the -10 for highs over this warm then cold crap.

Although I guess if I owned a car wash I'd be smiling.

I love that speech! Wish the Oilers would think like that. I wonder where in that speech they heard to dribble the puck to center ice and then have your whole line coast to the bench on a change...

guess it seems odd to go almost two full games without a powerplay. considering the power play is one of the only bright spots about the team, I can understand peoples concern.
I can't blame peoples disgust that the refs are all of a sudden calling the games pre 2004 style and the Oilers seem to be getting screwed over more than most.

I'd say

Single (+1. on ice, no point)
Double (Secondary Assist)
Triple (Primary Assist)
Home Run (Goal)

What's the hockey equivalent of a field goal vs a touch down?

Yeah but the triple is the hardest to get, you can't have a primary assist as that.

I called it right before it happened. The Oil did that twice on the same pk before that kill. Wish I could say it was a fluke but the Oilers do that all the freaking time.

Oh wait, it's called an Oilers set play.

The game ends at a really late time. I'd be okay if it were over at like 11:30.

I think we all called it as soon as the puck didn't even get cleared across the red line and we headed off for a change that it would quickly be in the back of our net. They've definitely been making those risky changes all year on the PK. Clearly, they've had it drilled into their heads that they have to take short shifts on the PK -- every clear results in a line change -- but no one remembered to teach them to make sure the puck is actually cleared before heading off for a change.

In the long parade of huge, embarrassing failures that we've had to watch for the last several years, that first goal was right up there for me as a low water mark. A 5 on 0 during a powerplay. Unreal.

1:30? Isn't London 7 hours ahead of Edmonton? It starts at 8:30 here so that would be a 3:30 am start time.
