Standing up for each other reaps long term benefits so it would be very short sighted to say "well turn the other cheek so we don't lose points!!!"

If players stand up for each other they show they care about one another. It builds team unity..something we severly lack.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

The Caps have used this philosophy since Poile/Schoenfeld left and GMGM entered.

How has that worked out? There is a reason why this team is so dysfunctional and making the playoffs the last 4 years hasn't exactly helped.

You think Backstrom's happy about the mostly blind eye turned towards Bourque? You think making the playoffs will make those feelings go away? I don't.

caps are a gutless, marginally talented and awfully led hockey club. its no surprise to me that a runt like skinner can clown anyone on the roster and get away with it or that his basement-dwelling team can continue to put W's on the board against this LOLoser team.

there isnt 1 guy among the caps REAL core -- nicky, brouwer, alzner etc -- that would trade seeing bourque on a stretcher for a 4-and-out playoff "series". not 1.

Wow. Don Beaupre had 24 PIMs. Wideman is leading the caps D corps with 32 this year.
