I don't remember Diaz taking any big hits, or head shots.

I'm going to assume Bourque gave him it.. (His 'flu').
No but in all seriousness. Crap. I hope he gets better soon ala Gallagher.

My only explanation is that Bourque and Diaz were forced to fight each other until they both gave each other concussions. In the process they suffered memory loss, which is why neither of them has any idea how it happened.

It must have not been that memorable of a hit, there's no video of it in this boxscore:

This is probably the type of ''concussion'' that 5-7 years ago the player would have played with, but now they are detected.
This better mean Gorges-Subban are back together. Granted Kaberle-Bouillon is a scary pair, but they were OK early when they played together.

Two ****ing concussions that come out of nowhere. Bourque played after the Orr sucker punch and I don't even know how Diaz got one.

John Bartlett @BartsBytes
#Habs Diaz sustained the concussion during OT in Ottawa when he fell. Felt fine during practice yesterday, started feeling dizzy last night.
Wait, was that when Turris hooked him for a penalty?

he didn't not even hit his head on that hit if i remember correctly. It was just a shoulder on shoulder but Greening got more of the hip if anything.

They should put all NHLers in quarantine because there's way too many cases of concussionitis . :/

Aren't you the Kaberle lover who had a hardon about Cole's game since the start of the season? Strong credibility. Emelin is playing good hockey this season.

This is more typical of how concussions occur in hockey. Any hard landing to the head could result in a concussion. Whether there's fighting or not is largely irrelevant to fixing the concussion issue. Probably, the most easiest option is to slow the game down and not call as much interference and holding penalties.

Kaberle is garbage on even strength, which is the majority of a hockey game.
Anyone want to bet Kadri gets a hatty thanks Kaberle's ineptitude?
Now we'll see what these Habs are really made of depth-wise.

They just showed a sequence on RDS, pretty scary. Silfverberg's knee (while falling) hit Diaz in the jaw. And the skate could have easily sliced Diaz's neck or something on that sequence.
